Wardens of the Light [ EDIT ]

This game has been retired! That means it's no longer being run.

It's low-magic, low-tech medieval fantasy, harsh and grey, but not grimdark or hopeless.

Especially where the Wardens of the Light are involved, an order dedicated to opposing darkness. Officially it means monsters and dark mages, but sometimes their opposition is extended to tyrants who are just mundane monsters. It's never been proven, but the Wardens are moderately welcome at certain places.

Finrion is a smallish town on the edge of the Whispering Woods, home to fey creatures. Some are funnily crazy, most are weird, many are dangerously alien for mortals. The Duke of Finrion has invoked the Right of Aid, asking for help against dark things. The order sent four initiates, these are the characters.

You are to meet Duke Kalistor as soon as you arrive, and listen to his request and explanation.

✻ Standard characters, using the Fantasy Companion, except Half-folk (don't even ask).
✻ Characters start at Novice, although we can agree on a few advancements, but still under Seasoned.
✻ Setting rules: still considering...
✻ I don't like the hard-wired personality traits as racial musts. Change it to whatever fits your character's personality best.
✻ We'll have a common language, but I'll find some other name for it, it feels chewed up and boring.
