They get carted out of here as fast as possible and taken as far away from here as possible. It's like they knew that the dead wouldn't rest easy here..."

San Francisco is always shifting. From the plague and the earthquake to the post war boom to the counter culture movements to the dot com bubble to the homeless crisis, the city has experienced so much over the past hundred or so years. And that's just the mortal view of the world. Deep in the shadows, demons have brokered unfair deals, the fae have lured the lost and the confused, and the vampires have preyed on people at their lowest points.

Somehow it's still standing. Somehow it still reinvents itself. Somehow, with all the fog and darkness and misery and wonder it creates, it finds a way to lure people into it, and spits them out stronger, more dangerous, better and more themselves, or in caskets.
