My vision blurs shortly before firing off the previous shots, I shake my head to clear it and spit out some of the foul soulstuff that always coats my mouth after communing with my patron. Vision cleared I aim anew at one of the worgs

Kaiakas' slashes at the first wolf and circles around the other, driving his blade into the second one. The worg lets out a yelp and turns on him.

Xara plunges her blade into the hobgoblins throat. It stutters for a moment before falling limp and out of its saddle.

Jorr looses an arrow at the worg Kaiakas has his blade in, the arrow strikes it in the head and the beast dies in an instant.
Sep 18, 2015 8:42 am
The remaining worg lets out a quick howl and leaps back from its surrounding foes, looking to flee down the path.

Sep 18, 2015 9:44 am
"Oh no you don't!" Taking advantage of the opening in the worg's defenses, I strike at the beast. Before it gets out of reach, I shout to the rest of the group "Don't let it get away! It mustn't warn any of its kind or its masters!"

Xara gets a good chunk of worg with her dagger as it turns to flee. Zaris' crossbow bolt strikes a tree, and Corban and Kaiakas hit nothing but air. The worg, injured but not dead, vanishes into the woods and flees down the hill and away from the keep.

Combat is over
Sep 19, 2015 2:02 pm
*sigh* "I suppose we'll just have to pray that worg doesn't bring back any help." I clean my blade before returning to Xara. "Now, where were we?"
Sep 19, 2015 3:18 pm
"Hopefully we didn't alert everyone inside the keep... Maybe the charge in screaming plan will work after all."
Sep 19, 2015 4:07 pm
"As long as they're the ones who are screaming, I'm game."
Sep 21, 2015 5:51 pm
"So I think we'll need to get into the keep, if only because it will be more defensible if that Worg brings back reinforcements. I don't think Kai, Rurik or myself will be much for sneaking, but maybe the the rest of you could find a decent vantage while we make noise moving in through the wall?"
Sep 21, 2015 5:55 pm
Zaris nods in agreement. "Yes, we really should get out of site. But I also don't want us to get trapped in their surrounded by hostiles should they return." He rubs his chin thoughtfully for a moment. "Jorr, how many outposts are in this area that would support a band of raiders?
Sep 21, 2015 8:49 pm
Jorr shrugs, "Depends how many you need to house. Really though, this is the biggest and most secure location in the woods."
Sep 21, 2015 9:04 pm
"And yet, there doesn't seem to be any sign of a force of any size staying here. Why is that..." I say the last part as mor rhetorical as I stare at what seems to be our next destination.
Sep 21, 2015 10:24 pm
"Maybe we're in the wrong place? Should we keep moving?"

Jorr shoulders his bow, "I'm just the guide. Tell me where you want to go and I'll take you there." He points to the thin trail of smoke rising up from the central keep between the two towers, "That's a sign that someone's home."

"Oh yeah, that. Should we check it out? Could be another helpful guide for all we know!
