OOC:
This? It requires a gunsmithing kit, the cost is in material, and you seem to be limited in making ammos for firearms...

OOC:
I have the kit. But I wrote the rest down wrong.

Darren begins sifting through the garbage in the pit to see if there's anything worth salvaging.

Darren shifts through the refuse and feels a bit disgusted by what he finds, rotting animal and vegetable matter, animal bones, even dried and fresh offal, but nothing valuable so far... He feels that whatever this treasure might be, it's not worth it further and deeper into that crap...
Apr 3, 2019 3:28 pm
Veroth calls up, "This place smells offal, and the human is getting green. Do we have ten or fifteen minutes for a thorough search?"
Apr 3, 2019 5:27 pm
"I'm in no hurry... but the both of you will probably bee needing a bath once we get back to Barovia."
Apr 3, 2019 5:36 pm
Once we get back? They stink now.
Apr 3, 2019 5:42 pm
Veroth, whose people include carrion eaters, not that he partakes, will Take 20 and search the whole ooze pit thoroughly. He'll wave Darren away to go up top.

Veroth takes his time (and puts his pride aside) to thoroughly search the pile of refuse. Eventually, his determination pays off as he finds a ring, a suit of leather armor, 4 daggers with one looking to be of superior craftsmanship, and two small potion vials still full.
Apr 3, 2019 8:46 pm
Shaking the drippy bits off his wings, he gathers the items and flies up to the ledge where the others are no doubt laughing. "Here is what I found. Ring, leather armor which we should probably throw back in if isn't special, these daggers one of which seems nice, and these two vials which I am hoping aren't monster pee."
Apr 4, 2019 2:51 pm
Darren accepts the help of the others in climbing out of the pit and looks irritated by what he had to go through down there. His eyes flick back to the creature in the circles, "What do you think?" he asks the other quietly.
Apr 4, 2019 5:50 pm
The creature awaits expectedly in her circle, attempting to stretch her ear, as if she had a chance to hear you discuss among yourselves so far away...
Apr 4, 2019 6:58 pm
I don't know that we can trust it, but perhaps it would guide us in exchange for freedom?
Apr 6, 2019 3:10 am
"I am not sure we will be able to free her. The magic circles I looked at earlier were very complex."
Apr 6, 2019 10:38 am
Lets get across there and take a better look. He edges up to pit between.
Apr 6, 2019 3:44 pm
Answering Heather, Ireena says: "Didn't she said earlier that we could just break one and it would work? I don't know much about magic, but if we damage the floor upon which those circle are engraved, wouldn't that do something?"
Apr 6, 2019 4:55 pm
Might have to release her, if we wish. I can always come back later and pit the space under her to try to release too. Mark offers.
Apr 10, 2019 5:16 pm
Darren, growing tired of the back-and-forth, moves back to the circle where he accidentally attacked her and scratches out the runes.
Apr 10, 2019 10:35 pm
The runes are engraved in the stone. It will take some time, but Darren will eventually break the circle.
Apr 12, 2019 2:33 pm
Darren, unless somebody stops him, keeps working at the circle and releases the creature.
