Heather recalls what she's heard about Eladrins. They are indeed a type of celestial with many of them looking elf or fey-like. There are many different types including Coure, Bralani, Firre, Ghaele, Noviere Shiere, Shiradi, and Tulani. They have a variety of magical powers, but seem to all share the following: Darkvision and the ability to see in the dark, immunity to electricity and petrification, resistance to cold and fire, and the ability to speak with any creature which has a language.

You've heard more or less the same things about Eladrins. In addition you'll know that they are associated with Mount Celestia and the Feywild. You'll also know a bit more information on each type of Eladrins, and assume that she's most likely a Coure Eladrin, as most other Eladrins, while having some sort of elf or fey-like qualities, are either unmistakably outsiders or would, at the very least, look like they are planetouched...

Also, as far as you know, no teleportation powers, but then again, nothing prevents an Eladrin from learning to wield sword or magic (i.e. they can take character classes).

What was the description of Shandra?
Apr 14, 2019 1:45 pm
OOC:
"...a waiflike young woman standing. She has a fey look to her, and she stares at you wistfully."

Be nicer not to talk to you across this pit. Can you come over here or do you need aid? This is after all the only way out of here. Mark calls to Shandra. "I'm called Mark." He wonders if she can fly too?!?
OOC:
I can't remember our light source. Mark is human, but has an Ioun Torch. He also has darkvision but prefers not to use it.

Sorry, this was probably not made clear to you, but Darren had move back to the first room of the underground complex which also had a summoning circle. It was easier to walk back there than to try and cross the ravine. At least this is ho I interpreted it, if I'm wrong, Naat can correct me.

OOC:
Care to move our figures on the map to show this? What about the light source?
OOC:
I generically moved us. Please correct if that is incorrect.
OOC:
by the way, is it possible to edit the map key to have our picture and names associated so we can easily ID each other. Picture are kinda small and somewhat makes Id harder. Also makes knowing who is in the party at a give time easier too as well as ID'ing out NPC's.

I usually don't bother moving counters around in out of combat situations, but yeah, that seems about right.

As for lighting, didn't Darren or Heather cast a light spell earlier during the exploration of the complex? I'll have to look back. Worst case scenario, the runic circle on the ground still emits soft light.

Finally, there doesn't seem to ba any way to label counters outside of manually adding a boxed text and moving it along with the counter each time... There does seem to be an option for adding text to an object, and I've decided to try it with Darren's counter, but nothing seem to appear anywhere. At least it does not for me, if any of you can see "Darren" anywhere written around his counter or when selectionning it, then good for you, me, I am not seeing anything of the sort despite having added text to his counter...

Mark stands there talking to Shandra with his personal Ioun Stone doing slow laps around his head giving out 20' of lovely torch light. A quick eye will notice that Mark's shadow doesn't quite match him as the light moves about. It seems to be like a shadow of him staring at Shandra as it seems to look a bit off to side of Mark's body to see her rather than a shadow directly behind him from the ioun's light.

Yep, no I can't seem to add labels to the counter. The best I can do, I think is open the counters in photoshop, and manually add labels to each of them myself.

Edit: alright, did some labelling in Photoshop. Right now it doesn't show it unless you zoom in twice. I'll try to make combat maps more zoomed in next time, it's just that when I made the underground complex, I got lazy and made the whole complex in a single map instead of making 3-4 separate battle maps...

Darren sits to rest for a bit while they share their rations with Shandra, "As far as Strahd goes, Devil is just a nickname. We've heard that he's terrible. I suppose that, to be in charge of this place, he must be!"
Apr 18, 2019 3:52 pm
Shandra is a bit pensive, reflecting on what Darren just told her as she takes another bite of the meal offered by Roland. Hmm. So what is he then? I mean no offense, but mortals rarely reach this level of power... At least not through natural means..."

She then notices Mark's odd shadow and seems to have momentarily forgotten about her discussion. Your shadow seems to have a mind of its own."

Mark lower his hand and waves it back and the shadow seems to be right now. It does that now and then. He adds on I don't know what Strahd is exactly but he does seem to own all the lands in some way.

I thought we knew he was a vampire, or am I thinking of ooc knowledge?
Apr 19, 2019 4:22 am
OOC:
Yes, you do know he is a vampire. the Burgomaster's letter (the real one) identified him as such, then there were the bite marks on Ireena's neck, and finally when Durgrim met him in his own introduction, he did detected an overwhelming undead aura...
Apr 19, 2019 4:44 am
He is not human. He is vampire.
Apr 19, 2019 5:05 am
She snickers. "A vampire? A simple vampire? Are you kidding me? you just need some stakes, silver, and holy water and that guy's toast... Expose him to sunlight. Drown him in running water. Find his coffin and trash it! And if things go bad, take refuge in any building, he can't enter unless he's invited in... It's not complicated."
Apr 19, 2019 5:09 am
Ireena's gaze narrows seeing Shandra's carefree attitude about the whole thing. "If it were so simple Strahd would have been killed long ago. Many have tried, trust me, but they failed. If you want to see their fate, simply go to the cemetery at midnight. No, that devil Strahd has terrorized my people for four centuries, maybe even more. He walks under the sun and enter homes as he pleases. Killing him won,t be as easy as you think it will be."
Apr 19, 2019 5:11 am
Shandra's cheerful demeanor suddenly stops and suddenly looks genuinely worried. "What? Oh, that's bad... That's really bad... Vampires are not supposed to do that... Those are against the rules!"
