As you all inspect and gather the gear from the metal wardrobe, you notice that the buzzing sound has stopped. From the north, you hear buzzing and beeping in the unknown, metallic voice used by the golems.

Einar looks confused, a look which seems to have taken residence on his face since they came into the strange metal fortress. He is clearly unsure what to make of the objects or how to use them, but he follows Hraefn's direction. "I'll take two of the poison fruit....those masks might be cursed!" He looks at the potion bottle he found in his own cell and the black piece of glass, then back to Hraefn and Brom. "What do I do with these???"

Hraefn took two of the bombs, intending to figure out how to use them, as well as one of the potion flasks with the lacquered box beside it. He had some luck figuring out how the previous device worked, and hoped he could do the same here. If there were leftover items unclaimed by anyone Hraefn put them in his magic bag for now.

"Do you think these really are cursed?" says Grax, picking up a ceremonial mask. "I wouldn't want to wear it permanently... it would certainly interfere with my chances with the lady gnomes."

Before anyone has a chance to respond, his curiosity gets the better of him and Grax puts on the mask.

The inside of the mask is musty and dusty, causing you to sneeze loudly. Your vision is slightly impaired, as the face plate lenses are pretty thick, but otherwise you find that the thing is pretty nondescript. Pulling it off is easy as well.

As Graxif is exploring the interior of the leather mask, Hraefn uses his red glass pane on the other red door of the room. The card is drawn into the slot as before, and pit out into the lower catch as the door slides open. On the other side is a 10' wide corridor running to the north. There are four other exits: three grey-colored panels and yet another red one.

From the room you just escaped, you can all hear the buzzing and squawking of golems.

"The last red door is as far as I got in my earlier recce. That room appears to be a storeroom of some sort. Would any of you like to check it out? It will open with this red card. These other rooms I have not entered." Hraefn decided to test whether the red card would open one of the gray coloured door locks by inserting it into the door slot nearest to him.

The card gets drawn into the slot as with the other doors. There is a slight pause, and then the entire panel begins to flash a dull, angry red color. A buzzing sound accompanies the flashing, and the card remains held fast in the slot. From the commandant's room you hear the north door open, and a squawking golem enter!

Dammit, my suspicions were correct. Damn gray door won't open with a red card (whereas orange ones do). Worse, it ate my card! We need more cards!
Btw, since only Grax took the mask, and Einar 2 grenades, I mark Hraefn down as having taken the rest of the stuff, unless anyone else wants stuff.

Still messing around with the possibly-cursed-but-not-quite-so-cursed-that-you-can't-remove-it mask when the golem enters, Grax leaves the mask on and readies himself to deal with the floating mechanical monstrosity.
