Lucky, Hraefn
Two of the golems quickly glide across the metal flooring, their squawks and beeps continuing to echo off of the walls around you all. The third remains and lashes out with its tentacled arms, grasping two of the wolves and slamming them into the surrounding walls. The first yelps in pain a split second before it disappears in a puff of arcane and fur, its magical life snuffed from it. The second manages to survive, scrambling to its feet and snarling at the golem before it.

Arriving at the corner by which you hide, both golems act almost simultaneously in their attacks. The first unleashes a powerful blue light that strikes into Hraefn like a hammer, and he feels himself being pushed back and lifted at the same time. Lucky, meanwhile, finds himself under siege much like Einar, as a thick liquid sprays over him.
OOC:
Wolf 5 falls, leaving 3 to attack #1. Hraefn, roll a strength check versus the golem roll of 22, or succumb to the presser beam that is lifting you to pin you against the far wall (similar to a Telekinesis spell). Lucky, roll a DC14 or to minimize the effects of the paralysis spray. Graxif is up!
Nov 20, 2019 7:34 pm
OOC:
Stupid me, I didn't realize the gas was lingering or I would have had Lucky move. Also, I didn't realize Bram had moved or Lucky would have definitely put some cover between himself and the golems.

Also, Lucky rolls a 15 (Portent!).
Nov 20, 2019 9:53 pm
Lucky
Ducking low and rolling away, you feel the thick spray settle over you, though not quite as fully as it could have been. Regardless, you feel the tingling sensation begin in your legs and work its way up until you are completely paralyzed!
OOC:
Lucky is paralyzed for 3 turns. You can re-roll each turn to try and shake off the effects.
Nov 20, 2019 10:02 pm
OOC:
I thought the DC was 14? Portent gives him a roll of 15.
Nov 20, 2019 10:50 pm
OOC:
Yeah, if you fail the save, the paralysis is 60 minutes... Getting hit with the paralysis is the same as getting hit with a weapon. The golem hit, your save reduced the damage.... which makes me think, if a person has evasion, they could avoid any damage.
Nov 21, 2019 6:19 am
Hraefn felt the magic of the golem pushing him to pin him against the wall, and found the force impossible to resist.
OOC:
DC22? Consider Hraefn pinned unless the paladin's save aura still applies, and even then, I need a nat 20

Rolls

STR check DC22 - (1d20-1)

(7) - 1 = 6

Nov 23, 2019 4:31 am
OOC:
I would say that the pressor beam pins you in a similar manner to telekinesis, though it is more like a reverse tractor beam. Having chewed on it, though, i will say that yes, you are able to cast spells, but attack spells will be at disadvantage as you have to fight the effects.

OOC:
Bump. Graxif is up!
Nov 23, 2019 3:31 pm
OOC:
DC 14 CON save if still applicable. Does this count as poison?

Rolls

DC 14 CON save - (1d20+8)

(3) + 8 = 11

Advantage if poison - (1d20+8)

(9) + 8 = 17

Nov 23, 2019 5:10 pm
OOC:
No, it doesn't count as poison. More like a medical anesthetic. I'll see if Graxif posts by Monday, if not, I will post for him.
Nov 27, 2019 2:22 am
Graxif steps from the hazy smoke to the east, his appearance looking completely alien with the heavy leather mask surrounding his head. With a flourish of his hands in an exaggerated manner, he releases a bolt of arcane fire directly at golem 2. The fire scorches the metallic beast, but seems to do no harm as it continues to pin Hraefn to the wall, while advancing even closer to the rest of you.
OOC:
Romani roll your save. Einar - 1 turn remaining on paralysis. Hraefn is up!

Rolls

Graxif Firebolt - (1d20+6)

(7) + 6 = 13

Graxif Firebolt Damage - (2d10)

(43) = 7

Nov 27, 2019 9:05 am
Hraefn knew he was handicapped from attempting to attack the golem, but he hoped that the golems still didn't quite understand the magic that they employed, as he began to cast a shaping spell on himself, something more powerful than even his own innate shaping abilities could perform.
OOC:
Casting Polymorph on self, into a T-Rex. That ok? If so, does the pressor beam fail because it now can't take the weight of the T-Rex? And if so, any chance the heavy T-Rex falls on the nearest golem, doing damage ;)
Nov 27, 2019 2:37 pm
Hraefn
The arcane energy swirls around you, morphing your body and turning you into one of the most feared beasts in the south lands- the Tyrannosaurus Rex. As the energy flows into you, you begin to grow in size, until you completely fill the corner of the hallway your remaining party members stand.

Standing nearly 15' tall, you actually have to stoop slightly to avoid banging your head into the overhead piping and wires, and your weight blossoms into an incredible 10,000 lbs. The golem struggles momentarily before its telekinetic beam fails and you drop to the floor.

Seeing your transformation, the golem swiftly backs up several feet to avoid you, squawking loudly as it does.
OOC:
Luckily, you are 8th level, the same CR as a T-Rex. In a technical sense, a CR8 creature is probably more akin to a 13-14th level character or more, but I'll go with RAW. You were not close enough to get an AOO. I will get an updated map later. Wolves and Bram are up!
Nov 27, 2019 3:23 pm
OOC:
I checked on the CR first before casting. :) Will only use it sparingly. I figured half the party down is a good time to use it.
The faithful wolves continued attacking the third golem, unfazed by their suddenly huge master.

Wolves
Three of the wolves manage to tea more of the metal covering from the golem, sparks of energy bursting from its wounded interior making it look like a tiny lightning storm raging within.
OOC:
20 HP damage to Golem 1. Bram is up (still)!
Nov 27, 2019 4:01 pm
Bram, sweeping sweat from his brow, brings up yet another fragment of mica and points at the nearest golems, in the now familiar gesture that precedes the thundering blast of sound.
OOC:
Sorry, I'm in a bit of a rush.
Move: cast spell, move 30ft to the right.
Spell Shatter at level 2, 3d8 damage DC 15 Con save at disadvantage.
Rolls coming up.

Crappy damage... sorry folks, Bram has pretty much exhausted his options.

Bram
The loud clang reverberates up and down the metallic hallway, again sending the golems into a small tizzy as cracks and splinters appear all along their outer armor.
OOC:
I am assuming the roll was for golem 2 and 3, as golem 1 is engaged down the hallway with the wolves. The shatter spell cannot encompass 1 and 2. Lucky is up! Roll to see if you can overcome the paralysis early. DC 20
