Reminder, you have advantage on your attacks, so you can roll an attack 1 and attack 2 again, keeping the same damage should you hit.

OOC:
Oh thank God. Gimme a second to apply GWF and Savage Attacker.

OOC:
I was going to say not to bother with the wolves' dex check, since a success kills them too. Also, did not expect the whirlwind of claws, nice touch. looking forward to the tpk, heh.

Okay so that GWF roll went weird, and I don't know how to read it. Just take the damages as is because I need to sleep and it's too finicky on mobile.

Attack 1: 9 Slashing, 4 Cold, 15 Radiant
Attack 2: 8 Slashing, 5 Cold, 11 Radiant

As soon as Bram sends his action (flaming Sphere damage, i assume) then Group 1 can go again.

OOC:
It seems like I've got to stay on top of this action hour by hour. So, I'm assuming the Troll is back on its feet. What I'm not so sure of is whether I can cast the flaming sphere into a position above the ground. From the map it doesn't look like there is anyone immediately adjacent to the Troll although Ilwyn seemed to attacking with a sword this round.
Bram will cast his sphere 10' beyond the Troll where no one is standing and 2' above the water/ground and move it toward the creature.
Action: Cast spell up to 60' distant. Bonus action: move sphere up to 30' Duration: sphere will stay in place unless otherwise moved by the caster for up to 9 additional rounds.

Wow, just made it
Cædwyn coughs the filthy swamp water out of his lungs, but is somehow able to recover his weapon through it all. He turns back to the troll and grins, his eyes full of madness and bloodlust. "Now this is a fight", he thinks. Again he rushes at it, screaming, swinging his sword wildly.

(Moving to AK:16, just opposite Ilwyn again.)

There is no need to watch hour by hour, amigo. All I have asked is that people check daily to see if they need to post. With regard to the area around the troll, all of the wolves are now gone, except one that is dragging Merriweather toward Hraefn. As for your spell, the Flaming Sphere spell merely says you cast it in any unoccupied space of your choice. Thus there is no requirement to be on the ground. As long as the location chosen is within range of the spell, 60', you are fine.

Edit: Reading the description regarding being able to move the sphere over a barrier up to 5' high, I retract my height comment. You can keep it up to 5' off of the ground, so keeping it above water is fine.

Merriweather
1 failed death save, 1 successful death save

OOC:
Troll Dexterity Save
The troll fails its save, and takes 2 HP of fire damage from Bram's flaming sphere.

Rolls

Troll Dexterity Save - (1d20+2)

(3) + 2 = 5

Jan 16, 2019 3:07 pm
Thanks to the remaining wolf's efforts, Hraefn was able to move slightly closer to Merriweather lifeless form. He didn't dare attend to the fallen rogue just yet, given the precariousness of Caedwyn and Ilwyn still in close battle with the troll. Instead, the druid once again filled its surroundings with a buffer of wild wolves again, just to buy a bit more time before he himself was ready to enter battle.
OOC:
Hraefn moves to AN13. This is one of the rare times I prefer Healing Word to Goodberry. :|
Anyway, the wolves are at AL15 AM15 AN15 AN16 AK17 AK18 AL18 AM18. Gonna leave a whole bunch of rolls here. Also standing by Wildshape just in case.

The troll staggers under the blow delivered by Caedwyn, and howls its frustration at the appearance of yet more wolves. It snarls, spitting out a mixture of bile and blood as it whirls to face the barbarian warrior behind him. Its eyes narrow and lips draw back, yellowed and blackened teeth dripping blood and saliva as its tongue slathers across its lips. It's other heads clamor and hiss, as the trunk-like arms flex in readiness to feast upon the puny target before it. It smiles widely, stepping forward to devour Caedwyn.

Before the step falls, however, its eyes go wide as an arrow pierces the center of its back, blasting out from its chest and coating Caedwyn in blood and innards as a gaping hole is left where its heart once was. Turning slowly, as the life drained from it, the troll's eyes see a defiant Etna standing there, her bow in hand, a slight smile crossing her face. It is unable to see her for long, as immediately after the arrow strike a series of green streaks flash in its face as Bram delivers five magical missiles. The arcane darts pummel the three heads, one of which explodes in a mass of bone and brain, driving the troll into the water behind it.

With a death knell, the troll falls backward into the stagnant river water, sending a tidal wave over the surrounding shores, soaking the body of Merriweather and splashing over Caedwyn, partially washing away the troll matter covering him.

The sounds of combat slowly fade as the troll lies partially submerged in the water. As you catch your breath, the sounds of the river and forest slowly come back.

Caedwyn
You have suffered a serious injury that will reduce your dexterity by 2 points until you get a Restoration of some kind.

Merriweather
You have suffered a critical injury that will prevent you from using any two-handed weapon. Additionally, you will not be able to utilize your Uncanny Dodge ability as your legs are too damaged. Both of these can be rectified by a Greater Restoration

well i guess its back to the city then, because I don't know where tf we're gonna get a greater resto in the ass end of nowhere.
Even as the hulk falls with a thundering crash into the murky waters, the triumohant grin on Etna's face lasts only a flash. For in the next moment, she has her bow on her back running towards her companions. "Get back from the water! I've seen trolls survive worse than that!" She finishes her stride beside Merriweather, assisting in bringing him up onto land. "Can anything be done?"

"The only thing I know of to do is burn it," says Bram looking to see if his flaming sphere is still working since he has not yet lost concentration on it.

Rolls

Intelligence test to know anything about Trolls (18) - (1d20)

(14) = 14

Jan 17, 2019 5:10 pm
Ilwyn takes a knee to catch her breath. Even though she has come off unscathed, the adrenaline rush has taken it out of her. "Make sure it's burned, Ser Bram. Burn the ashes if you must." She states, before rushing over to Merriweather and Hraefn. "How is he?" She asks, kneeling down beside him as her palms light up with a faint, golden glow that emanates a comforting warmth. She runs them down Merri's body, hovering just above him.
OOC:
Giving Merri 20 points from the Lay on Hands pool.
