Alydin your up. Is this beneficial or dumb? Trying to keep everyone in the know, but if it’s unhelpful I’ll stopJan 23, 2019 11:55 am
OOC:
I think it's useful to have a prompt, to keep things moving. We'll get into a rhythm with the game over time, but keeping everyone on the same page is handy for now. Also, am I crazy, or is the guy that hit me a Monk? He did 1d4 damage with a punch.

Dodging the grapple deftly, Alyndin will take a step back and with a quick chant unleash a blast of holy light at his attacker.
[ +- ] Guiding Bolt
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: 120 feet
Components: V, S
Duration: 1 round
A flash of light streaks toward a creature of your choice within range. Make a ranged spell attack against the target. On a hit, the target takes 4d6 radiant damage, and the next attack roll made against this target before the end of your next turn has advantage, thanks to the mystical dim light glittering on the target until then.

The firbolg shakes his head to clear the effects of the human's powerful blow. Circling cautiously, he calls upon primal forces and the air around him begins to feel tense and charged, like the stillness before a storm. His long arms swing out and the human goes to block instinctively, but the blow is not meant for him - the firbolg's hands meet in a thunderous clap.
Then I'm casting Thunderwave - the human needs to make a DC 14 Constitution save. If he fails, he takes the damage below and is pushed back 10 feet, which will take him out of the arena area. If he succeeds, he takes half the damage.
I've got the rest of my movement and a bonus action still to use, but I want to see if he makes his save first.
Also, the boom from the Thunderwave is audible out to 300 feet, so this should draw some attention from bystanders if they're not focused on the fight already!
OOC:
I'm moving around the human to position him between myself and the edge of the "arena". Since I was on the edge already, this shouldn't take more than 20 feet of movement. I'm not leaving his engagement range, so no opportunity attacks. Then I'm casting Thunderwave - the human needs to make a DC 14 Constitution save. Tyrion’s stab misses but he connects with the blunt end, causing blood to gush from his head.
Eiravel’s clap causes the other human’s ears to bleed, but he remains standing.
In retaliation, the human throws 2 punches at the firbolg.

The firbolg frowns as the dust cloud kicked up by the blast clears to reveal the surprisingly tenacious human still standing firm, if a bit shocked. As the human regains his senses and his fighting stance, the firbolg suddenly vanishes.
Edit: Sorry, that was why I mentioned I still had the option to use a bonus action! Even if he can still track me somehow (I'm 10 feet away), his attacks will need to be at disadvantage.
OOC:
I'm using Hidden Step to turn invisible until the start of my next turn. Then I'm going to step around and away from the human with my remaining movement - hopefully he won't be able to tell where I've gone.Edit: Sorry, that was why I mentioned I still had the option to use a bonus action! OOC:
3 damage, I'm at 2 hp. I think I'm going to need some help to get this guy off me, he's a beast.@Pious, who was Tyrion attacking? One elf got knocked out and the human going for Alyndin got obliterated, so there was just the sword elf facing off against Conwan and the monk beating the crap out of me left. I'm assuming you went for the elf.
New round initiative:
Conwan - 8 damage
Elf 2 (sword) - 7 damage
Alyndin - uninjured
Tyrion - uninjured
Eiravel - 8 damage
Human 2 (monk) - 6 damage
