Great points on the RP discussion. I had assumed a lot of that based on what I've read about it. It's what fascinates me so much about OD&D. I hadn't even thought to address it here, but I totally should have.

Similarly, I should probably set other expectations. For instance, I hadn't planned on using any of the Chainmail rules in this game, unless some special case comes up and it would be more fun, for some reason. And I also plan to make a lot of rulings on the fly depending on the situation (one doesn't really have a choice, as you know since you played it).

For things that need a roll outside of combat, I was going to do the "roll a die" bit. I was even considering if it's something I think, based on your stats, you'd be good at, I might consider the "percentage chance" you have and apply that to the d6 roll. Saying things like, "Oh, you're strength is high. Roll a die, on a 3+ you break the door."

Let me know if that fits or if there's other ways to do it. Or any feedback, really.

Do you have a pantheon for the gods of Law, Neutrality, and Chaos?

That’s a really good question. The gods in this world currently are nebulous because I haven’t needed to define them. We can do so together. You’re god is the god of Law, correct?

Mine is. The original books didn't go into detail but there are some that do.

Yes, the alignment of my character is Law.

If it helps, I believe the Law/Chaos alignment came from "Eternal Champion" books by Michael Moorcock. The most famous Champion was Elric of Melnibone.

Yep. Makes sense.

Ura, Goddess of Law and Creation. She is often is depicted with a spear in one hand, a handful of soil in the other, and wearing ornate armor. In carvings and paintings, she usually has a plain, yet beautiful face and a powerful, yet shapely body.

I want to see if everyone attempts to cross the bridge and then we’ll move this forward to something more useful. Thanks for sticking with it guys.

Mar 24, 2019 9:56 pm
Hahaha. That I know.

I think it’s just you two at this point. You guys okay proceeding forward as two? Would you rather we wait it out?
Mar 28, 2019 4:02 am
Might as well move forward but hopefully gain some people as 2 lvl1 characters cannot take much damage.

Still here! Sorry, had some work come up.

No problem. We’ll move forward.

Give it a little bit to see if we get some opinion on it.

is this game still happening? I have a few games that are not moving. I don't want to quit but I only have time for so many and if this game is done I will replace it with another.
