Evelynn joins the others in the main meeting cavern following a lengthy session of her own meditations, thinking about how her experience in the darkened cave with Piodas had gone. While in the moment she had made some decisions that, looking back now, she has had a chance to reflect on and is beginning to possibly feel weren't right at the time. She was beginning to feel as those she had stepped away from her normal, methodical patience in waiting for the right path to present itself, and instead had acted rashly.
Shoving aside the a slightly queasy feeling at the thought, Evelynn sat when instructed, determined to let the Force guide her steps in this trial. Taking several deep breaths, she calmly sought that place within her that lay, tranquil as a still pond, that inner representation of her connection with the Force. In her mind's eye she saw herself, kneeling on the edge of the pond in perfect stillness and perfect patience. Outside, vaguely, she was aware of her siblings quiet movement, some of them speaking words she neither could nor even tried to make out. Focused entirely inward she felt herself reaching out, in peace and tranquility, towards her connection with the Force. As she did, it seemed as though her vision tunneled inward, focusing on the shining surface so still and calm as to almost seem a mirror. In it saw a million stars winking as though the waters were reflecting the night sky. She felt more than saw as one of those stars seemed to grow brighter and brighter.
Feeling this bright, twinkling mote which had separated itself from the masses, Evelynn knew that this was the guidance she'd waited for, this was to be her path. Before she even begin to sense anything about this bright light, she nearly gasped in shock as the star itself seemed to split into two, nearly identical sparks of light, then shoot upwards and out from the water's surface. Arcing through darkness, Evelynn felt these two embers, these two motes drifting until suddenly she had a sense of being, of whereness for lack of a better term. The thought of it made her shudder slightly before she disciplined herself and brought her fear under control.
Drawing in a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding, Evelynn let herself finally sense the room around her and felt some of her sibling's gazes on her, no doubt waiting to hear what the Force had shown her. Her hands clutching the exquistely crafted hilt in her hands, she stood, and with a slight tremor in her voice she said, "
Master... I am, unsure. I felt not one thing which could be a crystal, but two. Perhaps I am mistaken, for I believe that they are located deep within the caves, inside a chamber containing water, rock, and shadow. I do not know what my vision means..."
