OOC Nonsense

In case there are any matters to be discussed that are not directly related to what is happening in the actual game threads, we can use this thread. That should hopefully keep the IC threads a bit cleaner. Of course, short, directly relevant OOC questions can still be asked in the IC threads.

One question, and its super minor. I am not a huge Trekkie, but I've seen all of the original, TNG, and Voyager episodes. What's up with Spacefleet vs Starfleet? Is that just for this game, or is Spacefleet a real thing?

I think it's about copyright. We can't have the Federation and Starfleet because those are copyrightwd, so we have the Consortium and Spacefleet.

I mean, this is a private game. We could play as Jean-Luc Picard of the USS Enterprise, if we wanted to. The rule sheet for Lasers & Feelings just has to use those "off-brand" terms on it for copyright reasons and I've decided to go with that.

Also, you've seen three Star Trek shows in their entirety but don't call yourself a Trekkie?

Here's another question. I know there was talk of each group not reading the thread for the other group, but is that a mandate? I think I'll probably be driven crazy by the notifications and trying not to end up reading the other thread, and by the time the groups are ever reunited, it will be a long read to catch up on. Can't we just roleplay not knowing what's happening to the other group?

Yeah, it doesnt really matter if you know what's happening to the other players. Just dont metagame and there's no problem with reading

Just an FYI: I have to go to work for a few hours. When I return, I'll post about Cass' preparation for welcoming Captain Tulak and her team.
