So basically Marbo is constantly suffocating. And now he's going to die at Darcy's hands. Am I reading that correctly?
Ive always imagined his race like, this huge mix of aquatic features and stuff.

I sort of figured that the amphibious aspect of the race makes them also highly adaptable, and their lungs would be able to process oxygen, but the lack of ethanol would act like a vasorestrictor, increasing blood pressure, causing sort of a wound up "stick up the ass" personality. A swig of liquor is all it takes and his body vasodilates and he feels much better. More in tune with his personable side, his feelings and stuff, but he loses a lot of mental accuity from it. I like to imagine the culture shock of most visitors to Nemur II, his homeworld, when they realize that Nemurlians arent inherently a genius race. sure theyre smart, but 95% of the population fits into the "old man on his sailboat" trope. Fishing, enjoying cold drinks and warm sun, and not adhering to any set schedule

That's outstanding. Also, as a scientist, I appreciate when someone's science is plausible. :)

Everything i know is self taught. I didnt get into the science programs i wanted to take when i was in high school, so i ended up following an arts path.

What sciences do you study?

I'm a biochemist. But please, don't anyone feel like I'm judging any of the science-y stuff that comes up. I have my day job for doing that. :D

Pachelbels Canon in D is better!

Just joking, both are great. I just think Pachelbels canon is like, super soothing and uplifting at the same time
