Chapter IIa: Absolute Disaster

Laser Feeling: You can ask for her to be transferred to the Antarctica. She wouldn't really be able to undermine your authority there. However, that could by some be perceived as you taking revenge on her and being unprofessional. The alternative would be to keep her as your temporary head of security and operations. She is very true to protocol so she would not publically challenge your authority. She would however probably look for any weakness in your authority and try to make use of them to get ahead.

Well, that's certainly an option, too xD

I'm not sure if that was established or just in my head but I imagined Zephyr being the Second Officer, who would therefore be your First Officer. Since he's not there, I feel the hierarchy gets a bit messy afterwards. Darcy jr., Moira, Dr. Zlam and Dr. Mokk are the next highest ranking officers on the ship, with Darcy and Moira tied as your most likely second in command.

It seems that Moira, Zlam and, for what it's worth, Mezron are definitely on your side. Dr. Mokk seems not to have strong feelings either way. Darcy is the only senior officer that appears to have a problem with you.

Of course, as commanding officer, you have the right to appoint any officer, so anyone who's not an ensign, as your First Officer pro tem.

Darcy locks her eyes with yours, Cass, silently challenging you in a staring match. After a while, she turns her gaze towards Admiral DeLeary on the screen. "I will stay on the Potential, Admiral. Commander Cassano will need my help."

The admiral nods. "The Antarctica will arrive at the rendezvous points in approximately ninety minutes. The coordinates have been sent to your computer. If you have no mo re questions, that would be all for now."

"Marbo will bring whoever volunteers.Marbo must operate the gas. very volatile. Very precise measurements. Must be done perfectly."

He appears determined.

"No more than two people. Too many, Sets off Sensors. Must not alert them to gas."

His lower hands are operating his datapad. his upper left traces something in the air and his upper right makes gestures as he speaks.
