Maldan continues to push forward, hoping to receive some respite from the oppressive climate surrounding him.

"Just a little bit further. We can't slow down now."

Assessment: We are over halfway there. We should arrive at the relay soon.

Tiny continues to flash his lights into the snowstorm, hoping for any clarity in this horrible weather.
OOC:
The roller lagged the hell out on me. id like to reroll as it was supposed to be an easy check with a setback dice, not a hard check with three setback dice.

OOC:
I added Maldan's advantage to your roll... it didn't help. You just walked off the ridge.
Maldan continues to scamper ahead of the group his short strong legs making quick work of the dark snowy terrain. The light from Tiny, shines on in a cone of brilliance. Then suddenly the light waves around erratically and the sound of metal and snow tumble off the trail leaving the party in darkness looking down the hill.

The fall was not a bad one. Only about 10 feet down the slope you can see a mound of snow and dark metal. Tiny's light, now obscured by the snow covering it, dimly illuminates a small circle through snow.

No harm done, the snow is very soft here. And as a result of losing the light you can see a dimly green light flashing in the distance up ahead. It's the Comm tower's night beacon. You're almost there.

Maldan's Advantage

"Observation: I have fallen down." Tiny chimes from the bed of snow he is laying in.

He lifts himself back to his feet and brushes some of the snow off of his ocular lens, shutting off his light at the same time.

"We seem to be close to the relay." he continues.

He gathers himself, doublechecking that his gear is still all there, and picking his rifle up from the snow. He checks the chamber to ensure that the round is still seated properly, and clambers back up to the ridgeline that the group is walking.

OOC:
OK, we're going to try this a third time. Every time a try to do this I get interrupted and since there is no save feature here I would have to post half of what I want to and then I can't do a roll in edit form.
David steps out the door and gets buffeted by high winds but maintains his footing to attempt a climb up the ridge. He keeps a wide stance and places one foot in front of the other, a very slow going pace.

Resilience check (Brawn) 1st 100 feet

3 Success, 1 Advantage, 2 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 1 Success

So far so good David thinks to himself. He looks up toward the others who all seem to be waiting for him near the top of the ridge.

As the group continues to scale the ridge, Mo begins to worry less for the safety of the group and more for whatever threats they have waiting for them at the comm tower. So instead of focusing his attention on utilizing his climbing gear and keeping things coordinated in the snow, he begins to start peering ahead, squinting into the dark, swirling snow hoping to make out any details of where they're going.

"I think I can see something ahead of us, guys." Mo says, trying not to be too overly loud, though he is fairly confident that the wind will cover much of any sounds he makes. After a moment squinting ahead he does indeed seem to make out the dim lights of the comm tower, but before he can really start to take stock of it, he feels a jerk on the rope as Tiny slips off and tumbles down a short fall.

Tiny readies his rifle, aiming his sights up the hill. If they do encounter somebody or several somebodies up there, he is going to be ready to open fire.

"Statement: T1 is prepared to fire on your command, captain.

The party approaches the communications tower. A large two story tall grey antenna jutting up into the foggy clouds. Several lights continue to blink steadily on top of the tower as well as within the small electronics on the shaft of the antenna.

At the base of the tower are several large containers each about the size of a washing machine that contain all the equipment required to operate the tower. Each has a door that provides access to the internal contents.

One of the boxes appears damaged.
OOC:
Lets get a team perception check made for the tower, include the 3 setback die due to the storm. Assists from other players can add boost die since you're looking as a team. If you can articulate well ,a reason to give more than 1 boost die to your team, I'll allow it. This will only be 1 roll, not 4 different rolls. Your goal is to have the best possible single roll.

This will be your option as to the difficulty, you only get 1 opportunity to roll.

[Easy] = identifies the problem.
[Average] = identifies the cause and the problem
[Hard] = identifies if it was sabotage, the cause, and problem

I would recommend using your best person to roll, and add boost die to him. Add a narrative how your character is helping the person with the perception.

If someone rolls without consulting the team, the roll will stand as the final roll.

Good luck. Work as a team.

As they all huddle around the boxes trying to figure out how to go about fixing the array the good doctor states, "I have absolutely no Perception skills. If I can lend a hand in any way, let me know.

Maldan moves closer to the group. "I, too, have difficulty seeing through such an oppressive storm. Yet perhaps if we all focus our efforts, there will be a greater chance that one of us can see what we hope to find."
Mar 18, 2019 10:40 pm
Tiny taps his fist on the damaged box.

Pointing to it, he calmly states "Statement: This control box appears to be damaged."

He continues to stare at the box, completely perplexed by the damage.

As the party stands perplexed at the base of the tower, the storm rages on around them.

OOC:
I was kind of waiting for your input in the other thread before posting something, sorry for not making that clearer. Trying to figure out how you wanted us to make this check. We figured out that 3 Cunning is our best Cunning stat, and Tiny has 1 rank in Perception. So we were wondering if we should roll it as YGG representing say, Mo's innate cunning aided by Tiny's skill at observation. Possibly with a blue dice added on for David and Malden assisting as they can... Or if it should just be GGG with a boost for the others helping.
Mar 19, 2019 3:38 pm
OOC:
I was intentionally not responding. I was hoping you guys would come up with a solution on your own.

Also dont forget to add 3 setback die to the difficulty roll.
Mar 19, 2019 3:57 pm
OOC:
Sorry, I was just wanting to make sure I had the rules right, heh.
Trying to squint through the wind-blown snow wasn't easy, but Mo was bound and determined to be useful on this trip. From their position he was able to barely make out their final destination. "Hey, Tiny, do me a favor and shine that light of yours onto the tower there, help me see if there's anyone on the tower itself. David, Maldan, keep an eye on those containers, make sure no one is hiding behind them or anything. Try making some snowballs and chucking 'em at one of the nearer crates, see if it causes any stirring."
OOC:
If you think the snowball idea to try to shake out anyone hiding there, you can roll a boost on your own, I'm just gonna do the normal boost die from them assisting. Good lord that's a scary about of bad dice... Do we have any Destiny points? If so, I'd like to flip one before I roll for an upgrade.
