Well, I reckon' you're all in quite the hurry. He says is a slow gravely voice.
Lets get that engine fixed up.
Rex's datapad beeps, indicating a new workorder has arrived for him.
Oh, well that's poor timing. He strokes his beard.
Ketta, you've been reassigned to repair the communications tower with Green squad. He looks toward the small squib with squint.
Next time kid, you'll get your chance, don't worry.

Ketta's ears droop just as much as his shoulders do. He slowly trundles off with a broken spirit.
Grabbing his backpack with one hand, it almost drags on the ground from his lack of enthusiasm.
As he looks over his shoulder while leaving the group he raises his other hand to his head and gives a two finger salute to Deks as if to say, thanks for help, hope to catch up with you in the future.
He somberly walks out the garage and out of view down the hall.

Between the four of us here, we should be able to manage all right. He speaks to Mo, Maldan, Deks, and Ketta.

The team gets the new engine pieces in position, removing the old blasted out parts. It's taking much longer than anyone though. Each team member works on their piece, as they wait for the other. There's lots of standing around, and not much progress. Some of these parts aren't even the right ones. It's frustrating but it's nice to just rest and watch the work. A couple hours passed.

OOC:
Since not everyone has taken initiative to start working on the freighter, those standing around will be put to work helping Rex and Dreks. So Maldan and Mo will be tied up with the repair, both providing boost die. Also since both Rex and Drexs have 2 ranks in Mechanics, Dreks will be adding a boost die as well. And since Dreks has an extra set of arms and seems to be really focused on the task, I'll assign a second boosted blue die.Int 5

Deks waited around for Rex to take the initiative but what follows is an exercise in frustration. For some reason the Toydarian and Deks don’t work to well together. Ketta seemed to be of a more adaptable size and speed for Rex and Deks, while helping out well, often finds himself blocking the way in the narrow corridors of the ship.
"Hey boss, I think I’ll make a start on the shields while you finish up here. You got this right?"
Deks doesn’t really wait around and retrieves the parts for repairing the shields outside the ship. As he heads for the circuit board he needs to repair but stalks into one of the empty crew compartments. Checking left and right before he manually closes the door to it and letting out a sigh of relief. From one of his pockets he retrieves a small canister with a blue liquid inside.
"Looks like were pulling an all-nighter."
Deks whispers as to convince himself he needs the stuff. He then taps it onto a small desk in the small room and throws his head back to inhale the blue goo from a small nozzle on the canister. It takes him three good inhales to empty the canister and he lowers his head again, seemingly at rest.
The Booster blue takes effect almost immediately. Making Deks blink a couple of times as his eyes almost turn maniacal for a for moments before going to a more normal ‘hyped up’ stare.
"let’s get this hunk of junk flying"
He snorts once and for good measure he wipes roughly under his nose, removing a small drop of blue from there and off to the circuits he is.
Once there he sets out in a frenzy, his arms working more in tandem then before, his mind sharper as he replaces the circuits and tries to repair most of the damage.

Deks works at the shielding circuitry, its overloaded and fried. Unplugging the old burnt pieces and plugging in the new parts. Flipping on the power to the unit, a component pops a snaps in a smokey spark laden explosion. Deks shields his eyes, [taking 1 strain] he quickly unplugs the smolder piece. Holding it up to the light he examines why it failed.
It's the plug. It's a 28 pin connector, but on this corellian model the power wire is reversed! These plugs dont have a marked up or down, so it's possible to plug it in wrong.
Deks pauses for a moment before an epiphany strikes him.
The engines! They're plugged in upside down!
He jumps up from the shield station to head back into the engine room.

Mo stands up, cracking his back and nearly growling in frustration. They've been at this damnable repair job for hours, and they don't seem that much closer to getting the ship functional than they were when he walked into the garage. Lashing out he kicks one of the toolboxes nearby, not realizing how heavy it is and only ends up bruising his toe a little. Looking towards Rex, who seems to be a little confused as to how to proceed, he wonders where Deks got off to as he says, "Hey, I need a quick break. If you figure out how to fix this thing, call my comlink and I'll hurry back."
He quickly leaves the engine room and goes to find a computer to try and figure out how much time they'll need to get from here to Agribba, but most of them are in low power mode and barely functioning. Swearing loudly he exits the ship and heads back into the base, hoping to find a terminal there he can use to check the travel time.

"Boss! Boss!"
Deks shouts while turning the corner, panting with the enthusiam of a child.
"Corellian plugs-"
Deks takes a heavy breath.
"-28 pin"
He catches his breath as he lets it sink in presumably resulting in a similar reaction that Deks had when he found out. Something in the line of: ‘All this work stunted by such a simple flaw’.
Deks wastes no time after he caught his breath though, the rush of booster blue prompting him to work onward.
(presuming a assisted similar roll as before, I don’t know how to factor in the booster blue (as it would uprade my check but not Rex’s) so maybe add that as a boost?)

Tiny calls Mo's commlink, after hearing him get angry and watching him leave through the turrets viewport.
"Exclamation: Captain, Do not worry. The gun works!"
By new, Deks has realized the character flaw he was warned about with Tiny, a glitch in the personality matrix that gives him the fascination of a child with a focus on big guns. The bigger the gun the better, seemingly, as he has continuously poked his head into the enging section to ask if they could mount weapons far too big for the ship.

Of Course!
Rex flutters over to the engine with Dreks and the begin switching all the 28 pin connectors, checking each one as they go.
Halfway through the process, the lights come on to the engine indicating power is flowing through the circuits. The two keep checking all the switches and Deks reaches for the main power terminal. Pressing the button to start the engine. With a slow growing blue-ish glow the engine lumbers back to life.
The vibrations start off slow and rhythmically until they build into a steady deep resonant hum.
Triumph: Upgrade the next die used for repair.
Advantage: 3 boost die available for rolls on ship repair

Feeling far better about things now that he knows that Agribba will only take a couple of days, giving them plenty of time to (hopefully) to complete their mission, Mo heads back towards the ship. He heads towards the engine room as soon as he boards, intending to get back to helping Dreks and the rest get the ship functional. He walks in just in time to hear the engine hum into life as lights begin flickering on around the room and on the various consoles. Walking over the to the big man and the floating Toydarian, he claps Dreks on the shoulder and says cheerfully, "You got it running without me, eh big guy? I knew ya had it in you! You know, if you're not on assignment right now, maybe you should tag along. We'll have a couple days in hyperspace once we get up into the black, that should give you some time to finish anymore projects you might wanna tackle... And besides, it isn't like any of us are capable of putting this thing back together if the worst should happen."

When he returns to the ship Armitage tells everyone that they would have to pay for any additional medical supplies or food & water. He only has 5 credits so he came back empty handed.

"Apprehensive: I was saving up for a bigger gun... but would this help?" Tiny resigns himself, opening the closet where he stashed his duffle and pulling out his 1900 credits.

Deks felt the clap on his shoulder through the rush of fixing the engine.
" Yeah, engine is fixed indeed. But that’s only a start… Bulkheads are all cracked. It’ll fly but that’s all. This baby needs to be in dock for a few more days to fix that."
Deks lets a silence fall.
"If we leave that as is we can still fly but... yeah. I could fix up some more systems, like the shields and so forth during the trip. But that won’ t be without risk."
Deks scratches the back of his head while his lower arms remain fidgety.
"Where are you guys going anyway?"
