Smeeg699 says:
OOC:
I'm flying us towards the ship, like I said. So I don't know if I need to make a piloting check or anything to try and dock with the ship assuming things looks safe and calm.
Just flying closer to the ship won't need a piloting check. If you want to attempt to dock with it it will be [Average].

And since it's been a little bit go ahead and give me an [Average] Stealth check with 2 boost die.

Armitage gets on the radio and pings the other ship. "Hail disabled vessel. We received your distress signal. We have a doctor on board. Do you have any injured?"
May 4, 2019 12:31 pm
Cautiously flying up near the disabled ship, Mo attempts to locate a possible location with which they can dock once they've established contact. Feeling relatively secure in their undetected approach to the ship, and having detected nothing amiss in the asteroid field, Mo is about to call over to the ship to assess their situation when the doctor jumps on the comms and hails them. Giving Armitage a nod, Mo seeks out someplace that they can dock, should the need arise.
OOC:
Wow, ok. Unless you have something interesting for me to notice on the Stealth check, I'll recover strain from that. With a lack of success, but no failure, I assume that docking isn't gonna happen. I'll use the triumph to upgrade my next check to dock and pass on a blue die to someone else.

Rolls

Stealth check.

6 Success, 4 Advantage, 2 Threat

Total: 6 Success, 2 Advantage

Piloting check to locate a docking port (and/or dock depending on how the conversation plays out).

2 Success, 4 Advantage, 1 Triumph, 2 Failure, 2 Threat

Total: 2 Advantage, 1 Triumph

What's that? Who's there? the unmistakable voice of a grumpy Ugnaught echos back over the comms.

They knocked out our scanners and disabled our engines We drifted into this asteroid belt. he eclaims with desperation and contempt.

we have 4 wounded, 1 critically when deck 2 depressurized.

If the pirates are gone, we'll extend the docking bridge to receive your medical support.

As Mo looks over the Baleen freighter, there's no obvious docking bridge. No doubt it's concealed to prevent unwanted ships from hijacking the cargo. Since the crew agree to extend the bridge, it will make docking a simple task.

Feeling a bit relieved, Mo sits back in his chair.
OOC:
Recover 4 strain (now at 0 strain)

"Damaged freighter, we are inbound to help. Our scanners are clear of pirates, but we'll keep a wary eye out for them. Our doctor is standing ready to assist your wounded." Mo calls out over the comms as he maneuvers the ship closer to the damaged freighter while waiting for the docking bridge to extend. Cutting off comms he says to no one in particular, "Ship needs a name. We'll have to come up with one. He sounded legitimately worried to me, so that's one thing, I suppose. Also, be ready to help the injured, doc. Malden, go with and watch the doc's back, just in case."
May 6, 2019 10:41 am
"Hold up. We’ll need a total number of them and ask them to bring the wounded towards the airlock. Doc takes care of them, but we wait with entering until the critical injuries are dealt with."

Deks looks at the others with a worried face.

"What? You never heard stories of pirates faking this call, only to lure you in. if things turn nasty I rather be on our side of the airlock… Once we assured they are not pirates well see if we can help them fix the ship, or if we need to take them aboard."

He nods at the doctor, and looks at the others for confirmation of the plan.

Mo may or may not have been in a similar situation. But he wasn't going to say that to Deks. Instead he just nodded his agreement and continued the docking procedures.

Smeeg699 says:
Ship needs a name."
Their ship name is "Bendlebrynn" according to your scan of their transponder. Yours is coming up "Unknown_Vessel_9593582"
May 6, 2019 2:51 pm
OOC:
Yeah, yeah. That was more Mo rambling to himself/the others on the bridge that THEIR ship needed a name... Good to know about the damaged ship's name, though.
May 7, 2019 3:44 am
"Ooh, a name?" Doc says as he starts walking to the airlock. He calls back over his shoulder, "How about The Lollypop?" He giggles and keeps walking. He grabs a medical kit as he walks by the medical bay.

Upon hearing that there is a threat of pirates, Tiny makes another wide sweep of the surrounding space, watching for anything out of place amongst the asteroids and the stars, ready to open fire on anything he sees that seems fishy.
May 8, 2019 5:51 pm
With the doctor gone again Deks gives a look at Mo.

"You take the comms, I go towards the docking tunnel and beat the poodoo out of anyone that tries to enter our ship without permission?"

Deks pats the set of baton's he has at the small of his back under his long trenchcoat.

"And we'll need somebody to feign command when this distress call becomes a shootout. You up for it from the cockpit?"
May 8, 2019 8:41 pm
Tiny yells from the turret "I would like to submit a name. We could call it The Wind and Fury. After famous poet Zzlaszlak Zlam's Poem about early space travelers and their Inferiour Technology."

the last part sounds strained, and you can hear him smacking part of the turret, trying to get it to react properly.

Mo looks over his shoulder at the big mechanic and gives him a confident grin and nods as he says, "I got this, big guy. Make sure no one tries to steal my ship."
May 10, 2019 7:05 am
Deks sullenly nods, the prospect of combat heavy on his mind. As he notices Mo's grin he can't help but return it whilst saying;

"Our ship. 'Captain'."

He sets off towards the boarding tunnel with a purpose but gives a quick shout over his shoulder.

"Get me someone on point there as well. That Maldan fellow?"
May 10, 2019 8:00 pm
The Doc waits at the airlock for someone to show up on either side.
May 13, 2019 7:36 am
Deks had retrieved a single truncheon from the semi-hidden spot in the small of his back as he made his way towards the airlock. He was testing the grip a couple of times as he rounded the corner into the airlock, to find the Doctor there.

"Hello doc, good to see you here. I’ll be standing guard as we take in the wounded. Just in case if it’s a ruse. You know how to fire a blaster?"

Deks asks as he inspects the doctor for a visible weapon of any sort.
May 13, 2019 8:55 pm
Doc pats the small of his back and smiles. He then turns to the airlock to see if they have a seal. If so he will begin to cycle the lock.
May 18, 2019 5:36 am
As Mo brings the ship in close to the freighter the bridge extends. The YT freighter swings in and contacts the airlock and stops sharply in position. Stabilizer jet thrusters snap on and flicker, holding the YT in position.

The air locks open with a woosh. Inside a long dimly lit hallway, ceiling tiles and lights hang out of position and flicker from damage. Tubes and wires are exposed by damaged and loose panes on the walls.

A fast approaching Ugnaught approaches, wielding a heavy blaster. Pointing it at the the Doctor and Deks he yells at them in a tribal language that is not Basic

"GRACKTU WAM BAL KAT MAN WRACK!"

The Ugnaught raises his blaster and shakes it while pointing at Deks.

"GRACKTU! EEBA YEN GON TA MOOK! WRACK! WRACK NA KAT GOM DA BOOT!" The Ugnaught points his weapon back at forth at Deks and Armitage.

He is clearly very agitated, he shifts his weight back and forth anticipating a fight, while snorting and grunting. He continues waving his blaster at the two. focusing more on Deks and shaking his blaster rifle at him.
OOC:
The Ugnaught is a silhouette 0 and is at short range
May 18, 2019 10:16 am
Deks tensed a moment as the Ugnaught came into view. Swinging a blaster pistol that almost was a rifle to the small being.

"ho, ho. That’s not how you greet the crew intent on helping your wounded!"

He sought cover in the event the fellow would start firing, under his breath he quitly mumbled to the doctor.
"Get the blaster ready doc. Stun?"
Noticing the Ugnaught primarily tracking his movements he decided to draw both of his truncheons but keep them up with open palms.Trying to keep the Ugnaught's attention

"I can understand if you’re a bit on edge-"

Deks shouts towards the Ugnaught, in the same breath he mutters at the doc:
"He does understand Basic I hope…"
Only to return to his original shouting volume.

"But we are here to HELP. Put the blaster down, and we’ll get you out of this mess."
Deks keeps an eye on the rest of the hallway to make sure the little one isn’t just a distraction.

"Where the kark is Maldan?"
