Not missing the fact that Colin had seemingly skipped his own class, as well as conveniently not mentioned his name for the last 24 hours. Kimberly asks politely "I agree Vincent, seems risky, the less attention we draw the better. So a doctor, two warriors, an apprentice, and I'm sorry Colin I must have missed it, what was your apparent assigned skill set?"

Colin squints his eye a little bit measuring Kimberly up and says with a faint smile, "I thought it was obvious, given how the classes are assigned, I am a diplomat, apparently, not exactly what I used to do but close enough."
"As for Gobby, if he volunteers," Colin emphasises volunteering giving another glance at Gobby, "He gave us the descriptions but we don't really know how he sees the world and we need to see what can he be good at. And I am pretty sure he can pass for a child if we wrap him up in a blanket. We will be drawing attention regardless whether he is with us or not, if he chooses to volunteer, he might spot telltale signs of an upcoming danger as we don't know anything about this world and its denizens."

"True, but isn’t the goal to be inconspicuous enough to not brush up against danger. And having an armored warrior with a child seems to encourage others to ask more questions as opposed to ignore them. Vince, David, Eun, Gobby? What do you all think?" she asks.

He then continued, "Killer could pose as my bodyguard and Gobby will be my child or, maybe even better, my survant, of course, only if he volunteers." There was a hint of command in his voice.

Ok MagnificentFly let's see if we can figure this contested roll thing out. Kimberly, out of frustration with Colin, is going to cast a spell call Itch. Basically I have to beat my target which is my IQ - 1 (for the spell) -1 for being about yard away from you. This means my target is 15-1-1=13. Now your target to resist the spell is your HT, so that's your roll target. Then it's a "quick contest", basically we each roll 3d6 and see who beats their target by more. If I beat my target and by a larger amount than you, then the spell is successful. There's also something called the rule of 16 that doesn't apply here, I'll skip it for now. So.....with that in mind.... back to the story.Rolls

David speaks up, "I mean, could we just say Gobbo is our slave or something? Do slaves exist in this world?" he asks questioningly as he stares at Gobbo.

Itty bitty IQ check for Gobbo here...Eun looks at David, shocked. "We can't make gobbo our slave! That's so...inhumane!"
David holds up a placating hand and says, "Well, it was just a thought. We would be pretending that Gobbo is our slave... but we don't even know if slavery exists as an institution.." Shrugging, he says, "I guess it was a thought...
Turning back towards the group after their little exchange, Eun and David touch back on some earlier conversation.
"I like the idea of one of us going into town to pick up some cloaks, we can't all go in otherwise we stand out. I don't know much about classes, but it sounds like Colin's might be the best suited? Either way, we're going to attract attention the way we are, with or without our goblin friend," states David towards the group.
Eun nods in agreement as she says, "It sounds like the first step is getting some sort of disguise. Cloaks are probably the cheapest option, but a wardrobe overhaul could be worth it. Maybe we can sell some of our clothing? It's pretty warm, so I don't really need my sweater. I mean, it doesn't seem like there was a lot of dyed fabric among the stuff we found, maybe this is valuable." as she pulls off her heavy teal sweater and puts it on a nearby table.
"Yes, yes. Vincent already pulled that poor saps armor on so he blends just in. The bodyguard idea can work too, safety in numbers right? " he says with a wry smile. "A diplomat and a warrior walk into town..."

"Here is the thing, Gobby," Colin addresses the goblin, "You won't need to do much pretending, you will be wrapped up in a blanket, maybe we can fashion some kind of robe for you, so that all your features would be concealed. That way, they will not know that you are a goblin. And if they discover it somehow, you are with us, I'll come up with a good reason why they should not kill you, after all we are not goblins we are humans and from what you've told us our presene will be tolerated. Additionally, I want you to learn a thing or two, I can see some potential in you, which is why I have given you the name, this will be a good opportunity to start realising it."

"I know you can do this, but if it’s a little extra insurance for you coming back to us, to have a ‘diplomat’ with you. I think it may be worth it, we can’t lose each other." she pauses and drops her intense eye contact "Any of us, we’re all we have right now."

"So, a big bad warrior is affraid to take a little bit of risk and go with someone who is best suited for the task because his feelings were hurt," Colin says mockingly. "See, that was a mockery, calling you a killer is a statement of a fact, because you did kill a living, breathing, intelligent creature." Colin looks Vincent in the eyes, "I thought you were an adult, or at least mature. You are already marked simply because you are not from here. And how were you going to obtain clothes in a town that populated mostly with beastmen on your own, huh? You would just walk in there and ask them nicely? A man, a human, wearing armour, on his own, without any knowledge on how things are done in there. If there is a criminal element in that town, they will rob you blind and you will be lucky if they won't kill you. Sure, taking Gobby is risky but he is the only one who knows how these creatures act, at least a little bit, and we are going to conceal him. If he will be discovered, I can think of three different ways of getting us out of that predicament right now."

"Oh, so you know more ? Or the Goblin who is hunted by the people of this town will be able to provide help. I was going to obtain clothes the way people have for centuries, haggling. As for mature, it is curious a diplomat isn't able to open his mouth without being undiplomatic. I never liked politicians in our world, I like them even less up close."

"I never claimed to be a diplomat, I was labeled as one. And I am no politician either. How would you haggle? None of us have the money, as I am sure our money won't worth much here. I have experience in this kind of things, as I ran a shop back on Earth. I have dealt with all kinds of people, so yes, I do know more. And if Gobby managed to survive this long near the ones who hunts his kind, I'd say he knows a thing or two about them. And you are forgetting one more thing, I say we take him only if he volunteers."

"Haggling is generally with goods not money, we have goods. You might not claim it, the world seems to have labeled us. Just remember Soldiers who defended people returning home generally didn't appreciate those who called them killers. Look I will go, since everyone thinks this is our best bet I will go with you, but drop the killer bit or the city guard will proceed to ask questions. If possible Eun, I will try and see what the local equivalent of a medical pack is." he added in Eun's direction.

Seeing the conversation getting heated Kimberly lashes out to gain the groups' attention, she instinctively throws her hand forward and whispers "Seid"
