I don't know if this is a hero that Vertigo is working against, but it was an idea that I had initially before I fell in love with my current character.
Warden. His powers revolve around Power Negation and Slow. This is the chief super-powered jailer of NGC. This guy just walks/flies into an area, shuts off everybody's powers, and locks away the baddies.

I also see Warden as a bit of problem for everyone. His powers have kind of sucked the emotion out of him, so instead of putting people away for hurting people, he puts people away because they have wasted their chance at freedom. He is usually only involved in things if the government decides he needs to be involved. He is a bit of a machine.
He also doesn't care about his ranking. He knows how powerful he is, and doesn't need the validation. He is also Government sponsored. He doesn't put on a show and only makes a dramatic entrance on accident. The fight doesn't always end easily, but he will make sure it ends.

Thinking of changing my hero name to either Vestige or Echo. What do you guys think?

I like Echo...like she is echoing the energy she has absorbed.

Vestige seems more ghost like.

I see Warden in a light power armor type suit. Shuts people down and uses simple martial arts to subdue and restrain targets.

Ok...hope nobody was leaning this way but I am having to much fun with this idea. Psyke Surfer. Much like our glass user this guy controls water. He uses a surfboard as his main weapon but can immobalize and move people with his water if needed.

He will be an annoyingly chill California surfer attitude.

For some reason a pigtailed chick (think like Harley Quinn) wearing bright pink power armor and carrying a big gun that turns into a motorcycle comes to mind for a top 10 candidate. Think high mobility, transforming and shooting in midair off of conveniently placed truck ramps. Young and very tryhard

I have found my rival...

Are there any objections to just naming the motorcycle girl "Gun Bunny"? Or "Gummy Bunny" ?
Mar 21, 2019 7:56 pm
I think Gun Bunny works.

Because I have this image in my head of a girl on a pink motorcycle popping a wheelie only the whole front half of the bike comes off and turns into a futuristic bazooka and she continues to ride around on the back half like a unicycle. If she stops she can recombine to form like...a turret gun for big damage. And her bike and armor are pink rabbit themed kimd of like Dva from Overwatch.
Mar 21, 2019 8:07 pm
Or a Dva/Tracer mix I guess.
Mar 21, 2019 8:09 pm
And by image in my head I've started drawing her.
Mar 21, 2019 8:23 pm
Oooooo. I hope you show us when its done.

Sounds perfect :)

Going to try to flesh out a build tonight

Sounds good to me. Still not sure how all my power related stunts are going to work. Any suggestions for guidelines there? How much detail should we go into as we define what we're able to do?

I think you should try to pin down what your character's power is able to do, and then you'll be able to model it better. From your description I got that it would be vaguely illusion based. Perhaps you'd also want to be able to teleport, to be able to lure enemies into traps and efficiently get out of the way?

The stunts are pretty close to normal fate stunts except a little bit more powerful. They either allow you to do something you couldn't before (telekinesis will allow me to attack or move small objects with will), or add a +2 bonus to a category of things (though the categories are broader than fate core stunts, like "anything requiring lots of strength" rather than like, "wrestling". You should consider taking a power for anything you feel like your character should be able to do, but couldn't justify in another way. I think (though the GM should confirm) that it's not possible in venture city to do supernatural things off of aspects alone.

Here is the character I have so far:

I still need to add choose downsides and special effects. I especially need a downside for superintelligence that doesn't contradict his backstory or overlap with the aspects I've chosen
