Chapter 1: Uncertain Times

Borislav sneers at Kolya, then turns to Babushka. "Your witchcraft won't save this one, but I'm done with it. I'm off to report to... Well, that's none of your business."

If you would like to try to discern his motives, make me some sort of emotion perception roll. A wits/int-politics roll will also be handy.

Dragomir, upon hearing Borislav disparage Kolya, bites his tongue to keep from saying anything. He’s wise enough not to provoke the boyars. Still, he looks to the guards and watches them, grinning in a way that says "I’m gonna eat your liver." The Cossack then reaches his right hand into his pocket and surreptitiously rubs his special coin. He begins scanning the area.

Diya fails to pick up on any nuance beyond his words.

Sighs and heads in, hoping to find something useful

Dragomir follows Babushka into the building. Once he’s out of earshot of the guards, he looks to Diya. "I was hoping to speak to the guards from earlier, but Dragomir will have to make do."

The interior of the room is little changed. It looks like Borislav poked at the goo pile from the intruder with the toe of a boot, then tracked it to a chair where he probably wiped off said boot.

What do you think? what is it we are looking for?

"I am not sure." He pulls a vial out of his coat and scoops up a small amount of the goo with a stick. He holds the vial up to the light. "Perhaps I can find out more in my laboratory."

Stepan: Borislav is heading down the street in the direction that leads to the guard post mentioned earlier.

curses, and pulls up the hood of her cloak. City folk can drive me mad sometimes.....

You've investigated the intruder as much as you can. Stephan was gonna for twenty minutes or more. Was there anything you were looking for?

I do. not know what else we can do. We should depart before trouble finds us

As a last ditch effort, Dragomir casts "Shifting the Odds" and does one last investigation of the scene, in case anything was missed.
