Uh oh....no spells back for me. Didn't lose any HP so no need to roll HD.
"Then we have no choice but to face the enemy..."

"Any magic you can do to make those bellows ineffective, or blow up?" Korgazhar weighed the options. "Dwendylin's guardian will defend against those who come close, but only for a while."

"I can slink out invisibly, sabotage it, and come back. In theory."

"I am thinking of rallying the trogs to fight as well. I wonder if Ambrosia could influence them in that manner." The half-orc looked over to the ethereal being. "Finally, there's another possible exit, towards the north. The lizards can be easily cleared, Fernal or I can go clear them quickly while you stay here. And I'm sure Julian has one of his obtuse plans in mind already." Korgazhar was beginning to be more consultative as he got more familiar with the team.

Fernal appears not to care for the current situation, Back. No like. Kill giants. She was isn't known for planning.

Korgazhar's smile came out as a grunt at the barbarian's ferocity. He appreciated how she was willing to keep on fighting.

Bump! Ambrosia?

Ambrosia ponders the group's predicament, a smile playing on his lips as he fiddles with his halo.

"Well I'm not sure if the troglodytes have as much of an appreciation for the arts as I'd hope, but i'm sure I can work my charismatic "magic" on them. Also actual magic. As for the bellows issue, I may have a solution for that as well, one that could give us even more of an edge in a fight, albeit for a little while."

Sorry for not posting this week yet. I am in the middle of production-release hell...

Hopefully by Friday things will settle out for me, and I will get caught up.

While you all ponder what to do, you suddenly see a thick, heavy smoke begin to pour into the tunnel. The giants on the other side have apparently set up the bellows to pump oily smoke into where you are! Though the smoke is heavy, it looks like it will take a while to fill up all of the chambers.

Actions?
OOC:
Thanks for your patience, all. Hopefully no more overload here at work for a while. :)

"Before we're smoked out and before I go invisibly sabotaging, Ambrosia, let's hear your plan."
Nov 19, 2019 2:16 pm
As Aelfric and Ambrosia tried to figure out the best way to stop the giants from smoking them out, Korgazhar went north to see about the cavern with the lizards. Maybe there was an unexplored way out there.

Leaving the others to discuss plans, you head north into more natural caverns. There are several branches and loop-backs, but in the far northwest corner is a large, open area with high walls. Fungi grow throughout, giving an eerie, phosphorescent glow. You can see what looks to be a nesting area along the northeast section of the chamber. Your sharp eye make out the forms of a pair of lizards, each perhaps 8-9 feet long, lying within the nest.

Further exploration of the complex finds a small stream that comes out of the wall into the tunnels and then back into the walls. Poking it with your weapon reveals the underground stream to be about 5' deep here.

"If the lizards stay where they are we can leave them alone. I wonder where this stream leads to. It could lead outside."
OOC:
Trying to recall if this was mapped as well when Julian mapped the entire complex. I kinda remember there was only one spot blacked out that Julian couldn't scry, and that was right in the middle of the steading. So the rest of these caverns should be clear to us.

"Well, I have a fun little spell that could let me recruit the bellows themselves to aid in our...breakout performance. For a little while at least I can set them against their masters, either as a distraction or to serve as our vanguard."

Yes, these were mapped. The only blank was on the upper level.

Fernal has posted herself near end of the passageway to the rocks. There she waits for them to come to her or for her to charge them. Either way she is posed for combat. She still feels the exhaustion from early as that short rest wasn't enough to let it pass away. She stands there in the dark.

"Twist their minds to sabotage the bellows, Ambrosia, then slaughter their masters... or each other."
Nov 21, 2019 4:23 pm
With a grin Ambrosia takes a couple paces towards the tunnel to get a better look at the soon-to-be allies, sizing up each bellow.
OOC:
How many bellows are set up and about how large are they?
