City watch is fine, just know that Bromwich doesnt have a huge force. Something like 6 or 8 total officers with one sheriff. The town is only a few hundred people strong.

Lwunder did you roll your stats?
No I usually just put on a character sheet but I'll try to figure out on here.

Rolls

Roll - (4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6, 4d6)

4d6 : (3241) = 10

4d6 : (2111) = 5

4d6 : (4221) = 9

4d6 : (1125) = 9

4d6 : (5163) = 15

4d6 : (4424) = 14

so 9, 4, 8, 8, 14, 12 or point buy/standard array

I think that's perfect for my imaging his powers manifesting. Me and triquetra are in talks and my half-orc cleric might make the stage instead we're checking.

If CavernTavern makes his cleric instead of his fighter/sorcerer, I think I will make a gnome wizard...
edit: ...with a custom background...
Cook
Skills: Perception & Survival
A good cook needs his sense sharp to taste and smell the food he his cooking. He also needs to know how to prepare his food under the harshest conditions...
Tools: Brewer's supplies & Cook's ustensils
Self-explaining...
Feature: I'm hesitating between "By popular demand" from entertainer, but with cooking instead of performing or "Wanderer" from Outlander, to find food and ingredients...

I would say wanderer for rounding out. but its up to you

I'd actually vote "By popular demand" with your personal ambition being to prepare the most extravagant banquet ever made! (entertainment included). I'd tend to think that a chef sourcing ingredients would be more going to the market, instead of wandering around searching for them, so he can focus on spending his time exploring the flavors instead of finding ingredients.

Anyone wants to chip in as the tie-breaker?

I think I’m going to stick with the Dwarf Sorce everyone. The brotherhood would be cool but I’m just not feeling Thaddeus yet. Glenk all the way.

triquetra0- I sent you a quick pm with an idea of how our characters could tie-in together.

lol Back to the cleric or druid idea. Question for Drama, when exploring, will you use passive perception or make us roll?
Apr 3, 2019 2:45 pm
@Deadpool, I will typically do a blend of passive perception and active. Behind the screen a bit, I determine if a particular event is noticeable passively or not. If so, then i'll use your passive scores. If not, it requires you to actively be on the lookout.

As an example, I rarely allow traps to be noticed with passive perception, largely because of the nature of play by post. I want to know if your character is spending the energy at that point to try finding traps. However, to notice things ACTIVELY happening around you, I'll use passive scores.

For example, the dart trap in the wall of the thieves' hide out is something you need to actively roll and search for. However, to hear the highwaymen talking as you approach the site of their ambush, I'll use passive scores for.

I'm thinking of going with the Knight of the Order background from The Swordcoast Adventurers guide. How do you handle lightly orders? I was thinking of joining one pertaining to one of the masks?
Apr 3, 2019 4:14 pm
Knight of the Order is fine by me.

Immediate orders that come to mind:

Order of the Verdant Rose - One of the more prominent orders in the land where Bromwich resides, Knights of this order are sworn to defend the borders and the honor of the throne.

Order of the Shifting Face - An order that has members throughout the world. They do not take part in the wars of nations, instead acting as hospitallers. They defend the faithful against heretics, provide succor and comfort to the wounded, and offer services as befits Ilyra. They recognize the different Masks and recognize that each has its place in society.

Order of the Ravensbane - An order dedicated to erasing evil wherever it resides.

Once everyone has characters in and such, we'll get the actual game rolling (no rush for anyone, just want to keep folks apprised of the situation). In the mean-time, I'll be working on getting other bits of info about the world detailed out where needed and get some ideas for some events happening around Bromwich that could tickle your fancy. :)

I like the sound of the Order of the Ravensbane. I'll go with that one.
Apr 3, 2019 5:21 pm
I think I'll settle on a human (variant) druid (probably dream) acting as a naturalist healer for the village.
Apr 3, 2019 5:41 pm
lets just hope my character doesnt end up following his orc blood more...
Apr 3, 2019 6:10 pm
What 3rd level archetypes is everyone going with? I'm stuck with which to choose for my fighter.
Apr 3, 2019 6:42 pm
Well I have decided conquest for the most part. I may change but it is probably the one I have the most interest in role playing. I would say battle master or arcane archer are the most diverse. Eldritch Knight if we need more casting and samurai for a fun possible role play of some sort
