Seeing the hands grasp Aduan, Myrage gets an idea! He's gonna take a few steps back before taking a running start to jump and try to plant both feet on the machina's chassis and kick back off of it to try and push it into the hands.

Clarice sidestep Hashia's energy blast. Aduan calls out to Clarice and while it is distracted, Myrage barrels into it feet first, sending it into the wall of golden hands. They wrap around its limbs immediately, holding the robot tight.

Clarice continues to drone on about breeching security protocols, but is now stuck and cannot attack you at present. You can finish it off with the Eunbyol's drone, which will not miss a stationary target.

Also, Aduan is now stuck on the wall.

OOC:

Rewiring Clarice would probably take a fair amount of time and you would need to disable it first. You could also salvage it for parts, talk to it, leave it alone, or whatever you like.

There's also the problem of getting Aduan out of the golden hands, although it might not be very urgent given that Aldrusian has dropped out.

"Freakin' machina, man," Myrage exclaims after the scuff. "I feel fearful though, seein' as how all those plants were dead." He turns to Clarice and asks, "Aside from us, when was the last time you saw another livin' bein'?"

After the others have gotten information out of it, I'd disable Clarice for either dismantling or reprogramming.

For Aduan I don't have any ideas but maybe Desoto can come up with something using his Right Tool For The Job feature.

Clarice keeps speaking the same line about security protocols over and over again. It's like it's thrown an infinite loop and can't get out.

Meanwhile, Desoto pulls out his bag of tools, a spanner accidentally falls from the satchel and into the palm of a golden hand. However, the hand easily relenquishes the spanner when Desoto touches it. This is the first time you've seen the golden hands let go of anything.

"Eh? I thought these things never let go?" Recalling that Myrage tried pulling on the staff with no success, Desoto touches it lightly just like he did the spanner.

My working theory is the hands will only resist if you use force.

Desoto touches the hand with the staff. It does not let go. If he taps it, pushes it, caresses it, squeezes it, or any other gentle action nothing happens.

If Desoto repeats the spanner experiment, he will find that after Desoto drops the spanner into the golden hand, it will adroitly catch it out of the air, and then surrender it without issue after Desoto touches it or the spanner.

Hashia attempts to verify Desoto's theory, and puts the spanner into a hand, let's go, and then attempts to take it back.

"That would be big dumb over there who's stuck now too." She points to Clarice who is, for some reason, repeating the last two seconds of protocol warning she was giving when she hit the wall. Eunbyeol tilts her head, then looks at Aduan. "Ooookay. So that's a loop." Aduan is repeating the same facial expression over and over again as well. "We can probably worry about him later."

OOC:

Aduan is now in a temporal loop. If Aldrusian comes back, he can just describe what happened to break him free. Probably additional decay in the general area, something like that.

I don't know what Len's story was here, but so that we can move ahead with the least amount of fuss, I'd like to conclude this exploration bit with a montage. Basically, what's going to happen is, I'm going to start with a question. One person is going to answer it from their character's standpoint. When you answer it, ask another question of someone who hasn't had a turn yet that is prompted by your answer. No rolls are needed. Anything that you attempt will succeed, so use it to show off your character's skills. Let them shine. You can even get a bit silly if you really want to.

Now that Clarice is out of the way, there's one hallway you haven't explored yet. You heard the sound of soft chanting or singing coming from it earlier. Myrage, what is at the end of it?
