"This sounds like the beginnings of a fine adventure! Me and the Minnow would love to keep sailing with you if you would have us."

Respec'fully speakin' sir, we should probably anchor here for a bit and take the longboats ashore. See if the village can even manage repairs and restocking for us. Not sure it's the wisest plan to harbor at just a solo hut away from everything. Not after what attacked us and such. Jack says, approaching Ian and Zale.

"I'm inclined to agree, Skipper. I can't explain it, but something about that woman just doesn't sit well with me."

"I would need to borrow some Oars for the Minnow but i could bring us across to land if need be."

OOC:
The Kestrel has its own longboats, but you can take the Minnow if you wish. There are enough oars. Whoever's piloting each boat, gimme INT rolls DC 15. Include Water Vehicle proficiency if you have it.Apr 22, 2019 9:09 pm
Magda calls you all fools yet again for choosing the bay with its treacherous reef rather than her cove. She refuses to set foot in the village and threatens to swim home if no one will row her there.

"Wait whats going on lady? You whats the deal with this cove in comparison to the others?

I would think going ashore by longboat and check out the situation before we bring the boat in would be wisest. Nela Shine to her and mounts her. I will head ashore now and take a looksie. She launches Shine the sky and heads toward the village at a height of 100' above water level.

"I'll take that bet." Zale has a hunch. If he's right, he'll win this bet, easy money. But if he's right, the infant Lena is in grave danger.
"You didn't answer my question, Magda. I asked you what happened to Lena's parents."

That may be Phillip, but it is very abnormal to put into port at some individual person's dock, forgoing the dock near the city. Any work to repair there would require transporting people, tools, and materials across the entire island. We will go ashore by longboat, and we will determine the next course from there. Jack says, as the others turn to other conversations.

"Oh..." He rubs his head in a bit of embarrassment. "I didnt' realize it was her own dock. I thought it was another small village/town on a different shore."

Grog remains silent, just looking down at Magda(as from the back of the ship if it's raised up), in other case from a far, feeling pretty distrustful about the hag they saved from certain doom. If he were a smarter dwarf, he would reckon she's hiding something. But having been raised by wolves in the wild, his natural instincts give him that guy feeling

Zale is staring intently at Magda, waiting for a reply to his question that he's had to ask twice.
