Phillip looks about as the rest of the crew start making headway to the hut.

"Well... I guess I'll be one of the nicer once. I'm Phillip. That one over there is the acting captain of the vessel I'm a passenger on and the other lads are his crew people. Ian and zale and nela, and that one.. "
Phillip then says in a hushed tone. "He only says grog though so i think thats his name." Phillip continues on.

"Were getting their boat fixed on the other side of the island there. And one of my friends Magada is part of some coven over here. So were looking for her to try an intervention hopefully.

Jack waves slightly. M'name's Jack. Nuthin' more or less than that.

Name’s... Zel.
The tiefling said.
I’m... an exploring tiefling. NOT. A demon.

"All due respect, sir, but I'm tired of all the dilly-dallying." Zale reaches for a drink, realizes his flask is gone.

But aren't most tieflings like... part deamon

The group makes its way to the Coven's hut. It's just as Zale last saw it, more a sagging pile of debris than a hut. Picking through it, the group finds the sort of weird objects one might expect of a hag's home: assorted eyeballs, bones, and other animal body parts, pickled or otherwise preserved, strange fetishes made of driftwood and seaweed, stones with profane runes scratched into their surface, unidentifiable potions and brews.

The cleft in the rock does indeed hide stone steps leading downward. They're slick with lichen but reasonably safe to descend.

After what Nela sees, I suspect this is going to get worse. before gathering to go down the stairs.
Jun 29, 2019 3:53 am
Shh. That isn’t true.
Zelrion said to Phillip, crossing his arms.
Don’t spout nonsense.

The steps lead down the inside of the cleft, affording a good view of the cove while staying unseen. And yet, all the way down, you can't shake the feeling of being watched. At the bottom you find a huge, wave-battered cavern big as a shipyard. In fact, there's a half-sunk schooner here, its bow angled upwards. It must've run aground here years ago. The stone stairs descend into the churning water. It's a 40-foot swim to the wreck, or a 100-foot swim to the rocky ground in the far end of the cavern.
OOC:
By your estimate, it's an hour left before the Water Breathing spell that Nela cast yesterday wears off.
Jun 30, 2019 2:07 pm
"I don't like this," Zale growls. It's uncertain whether he's talking about the cavern or his lack of drink.
OOC:
Any sign of Lena or the hags?

Doesn't look like coming this way was much different form the other way except we don't get a boat. Looks like a bit of a swim. Nela looks distastefully at the water.
Jun 30, 2019 5:48 pm
You hear faint voices coming from the wrecked ship. By the dim light you can also make out a narrow stone ledge, shin-deep underwater, that runs along the cavern wall. There are gaps in it, but nothing that can't be jumped across as far as you can tell. It would be a circuitous route but with luck, it might get you to the rocks.

I dinae like it either mate. Ian ran a hand through his hair. Tis all been a right bloody mess since that accursed storm

"Its rough to get past stereotypes man. Trust me Everyone here things I'm quite unintelligent but I'm on vacation, I don't need to be thinking right now. Phillip notices hes by himself.

"Oh so are you like.. alright? cuz i need to check on those guys and keep them alive. I don't want to have to pay another travel agent for another bad vacation ya know."
Jul 1, 2019 8:03 pm
We should check the ship first, not to leave anything at our backs if we go up. Jack says, already pulling a scrap of cloth out of his belt to tie his hair back out of his face.

Got an hours so we best make good on it. as she lowers herself down to the waters edge.

OOC:
Stealth rolls please.

Those affected by the Water Breathing spell are Nela, Ian, Phillip, Jack, and Grog. Zale (water genasi) doesn't need it, Jineer and Zelrion weren't there yet when it was cast.
