Chapter 3: Silver Isle, Floating Market

"I've got this, Ian. I'll help you with your gear, Pelner," Zale offers. "This fine ship is called the Kestrel."

Aye. tis the Kestrel. nice to meet ye. ye can stretch it between the masts he gestures and dinae worry bout our cap'n. hes gruff but he has a good heart

From below the deck, a loud voice shouts faintly and grows louder as it comes out from the door to the main deck.
"GRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOGGGG!!!
A dwarf, with a grizzly bears and mohawk, new toothy greataxe in hand and his "greatclub" swinging, as he isn't wearing his loincloth, nor any pants. He seems pretty irate and feral, as it appears all the commotion has woken him up from his nap.
"Grrrooooooog," he continues bellowing, stamping his foot.

"Oh my..." Astrias takes a step backward as Grog comes upstairs. "Hello...I'm Astrias - Herald of King Kholnos...you are?"

I believe his name is Grog... Fascinating, I didn't realize dwarves could revert to such a feral state. Pelner makes placating motions with his hands and offers a shiny steal cog from a pocket to the irate dwarf. We did not me to wake you my friend. Please accept this token as a gift for any trouble we have caused. Pelner is genuine in his offer and not trying to be demeaning to the dwarf. In some respects he considers that cog to be worth more than gold.

He bob his head at Ian, thankful that the first mate suggests such an ideal location for drying and repairing the fabric. Quickly getting to work hanging the envelope he leaves Grog to Astrias more than capable hands.

Zale doubts the captain will appreciate having the balloon hanging between the masts where it will obstruct sight lines and possibly come afoul of the booms and rigging, but he trusts Ian and doesn't countermand the first mate's directive. He helps Pelner with his gear, asking questions about this and that, including the functions of each piece of equipment, where the Vedalken race is from, and what it means to be an artificer.

Jineer will change into a form that looks more like a local and begin looking for any info about her old ship the "Sea Hag".

Nela watches from ship side as the we approach the Floating Market. She wonders, What mess will end up getting into? She not overly thrilled with the sight of the place. Just the same she plans to check out the wears in the market.

"I'd really much rather be getting on with fulfilling our promise to Alcyestris," Zale says, with an apologetic glance in Astrias' direction. But it really doesn't look like Jineer and Nela will be dissuaded.

"I believe your word is sound my friend. I see no harm in making a short stop. I will meditate aboard your vessel until I am needed if that's fine with you." Astrias reassures Zale.

Grog huffs angrily, seeing that there was no real fight to be had. He dismisses the cog entirely, as it wasn't any form of food, drink, or smashy thing. Without any shame, he walks around on deck for a bit to inspect the newcomers before heading back down to at least get dressed. Afterwards, he comes wandering up with his new greataxe, his actual greatclub swinging from the side, with the pearl in hand. He follows after the odd woman they had picked up with many beards, Jineer.

"Grog!"

He offers the pearl to her, knowing he has no need for the weird stuff he knows she and Nela do.

Astrias remains on board and meditates in a corner.

Will happily join the others if for no other reason than to try and keep the crew out of trouble
