General OoC discussion

I just wanted to take a moment to apologize to the rest of the party. I joined this site as an introduction to D&D. I think my character may be doomed from my poor character creation, but I feel as though I need to play this out. I also wanted to thank the DM for being patient.

Well, I can't see your character sheet but I can tell you very few characters are "doomed." Your character may be sub-optimal, but that's not really a bad thing. The only time you need an optimized character is if either 1) all the other characters are optimized, or 2) the GM is running an unforgiving and lethal game.

Neither of those situations are true for this game.

You character is perfectly fine, arcane casters are hard to play and survive at level 1. :D
