Yes, they are coins that stem from the Keoghlish Empire (I'm using the alternative spelling to indicate antiquity); the dragon coins are a few centuries old. These may be the first time any of you has beheld one outside of a museum/display in a government building.

You wouldn't be far off to think of them as $1,000 bills: they're worth 1000 of the common currency (the copper lion, or "cub") and they're still legal tender, but they haven't been minted in your lifetime, and most people have never seen one because they're so rare.

Which might mean that it'd be difficult to use as payment, if my personal experiences with using US $2.00 bills or $1.00 coins are any indication.

I like to experiment with $100 or higher bills but seems I don't have any.

I like a nice big coin. I can do my Two-Face impression.

@WanderOne - Morton has just arrived in Hochoch. Would you pick two of the Dungeon Busters that you trained with previously, before they were sent out here? That way your new character has a bit of connection with the people here, and we don't have to deal with all (or at least as much) of the suspicion that Jonel has received. Of course it would be preferable if at least one of them was a PC in the party now.

So it looks like for about 91 eagles we could each outfit a horse. This would be very useful and cut down our travel time.

Thinking more about it though I guess it wouldn't do us good to have horses going back to Orlane. We need to sneak back in there and would have no place to keep horses.

Also, I surely am not going to keep rolling the ~16.5% (1 in 6) chance of a random encounter!

On a different note, I'm realizing that I haven't handed out XP for some of the treasure you brought back to town. That's incoming.

Horses are a bit expensive right now, though those days of walking are pretty rough.

I also feel like an NPC is just going to get kidnapped.

Does Olpert have lockers or some kind of safe deposit box that we could stash excess coins in?
