Episode One: A Patrol Gone Wary

Nightvale:

Johanna is presently outside of The Red Rabbit. After maneuvering through texts enough to be pissed while drunk on the curb, she puts her cell on airplane mode and watches after a couple who've entered the bar. She chooses to follow in after them with the liquor she purchased outside stashed safely inside her jacket. Effectively, managing the costs of a night out in smartly! She can distract herself with good company inside without paying out of pocket to be on the same buzz level.

Inside, Johannna frowns as the guard literally only gives her ID a pass over. "So many young faces out and about," she mutters to herself. "Someone's likely to get hurt or taken advantage of." This was an issue she typically had whenever she tried to do things 'just for funnsies.' It never remains just for funnsies. There's always something to notice. Always something to... Well, there was no point in standing right at the doorway. Tired of getting shoved past, she makes her way to the bar itself and approaches one of the stuff.

"Wild night tonight. It doesn't quite look like your security was prepared to deal with this sort of crowd. Who happens to be your manager on duty tonight?" She gives her most professional smile that she can muster.

Johanna leans into the bar with a propped elbow and an easy-going smile. "Because I happen to be sporting a let-me-speak-to-the-manager haircut," she points to her pixie haircut with a roguish wink before continuing sympathetically, "and because your poor chap over there, that guy right at the door, is positively overloaded. Just like I'm certain you are. Trust me, I'm on your side. They basically set the cheap-drinks horde on you guys. Seventy-five cents a shot? C'mon." As an idea occurs to her there's a natural pause between her words before a short laugh bubbles out of her and she asks incredulously, "Unless you're telling me that you're the manager!"

Darkhound, walking amongst the streets you hear a commotion ahead, and find yourself in the midst of the mugging of a woman's purse by two thuds.

"Thanks, Chief." She reaches across the bar counter to slide a two dollar tip. "They work you too hard, hope the rest of your night goes okay. I'm also sort of trying to figure out why there's such a big sale. You're basically giving away your vodka. Anything special that's going down?"

After, whether or not the bartender gives her more info, she looks for Aaron Vick, checking first with the DJ and squeezing past the crowd of people whenever she has to follow the trail to a new area of the club. But she's nothing if not persistent and find him she will. As she does this, she does a small amount of investigation with her cell phone camera ready to snap up anything suspicious looking--such as the security not taking time at all to check IDs.

When she does get to him, she taps him on the shoulder and then shoves her hand confidently into his to shake it in a professional manner. "Hey there. I'm a private investigator. Do you have an office that we might talk in more privately? Seems like you've got a hot, popping party going on here." She shows him pearly whites in her winsome smile.

As the crowd grows more tense music begins to play and Milo takes the stage, applause starts but you can also hear some BOOs, things seem to be more in favor of Milo though, as he takes stage he passes a hand over the crowd and their is a hush. "Thank you for having me tonight JCU, its been my pleasure to meet everyone and the warm welcome you've given me-- but then Milo is cut off as a voice screams across the crowd "RACIST" and with that a fireball is launched at the stage.
