So given that we're using D&D Beyond character sheets and keeping them up to date there, do we also need to maintain a duplicate sheet here?

That’s up to you. I use Beyond to track things, but some players put important stuff here like skills and abilities, HP and AC, etc. just so you don’t have to flip back and forth.

Of course, you need a character sheet here to apply with.

@Ket_Onwall Do you know what year we'll be playing in ?

I am ASSuming that they will continue the timeline from the Living Greyhawk years, so I imagine circa 598 CY (Common Year). However, I am 100% sure it will be post Greyhawk Wars, which ended around 584 CY. If they stick with the previous adventures, Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk was set in 597 CY.

For those curious, here is a good timeline of the Flanaess (known world).

Hello everyone, apologies for the late posting. I'll be working on my character and background and they should be ready to go by the end of the weekend.

Ket, I submitted the character sheet even though it still has a lot of blank spaces on it. I'm heading out of town as soon as I leave work and won't be able to fill in the rest until Monday at the earliest. The inventory is all on the D&D Beyond sheet, though. I just have to fill it in.

It always makes me nervous when I look at a level 1 character's sheet and see just how few hit points we have down here.

Don't be nervous. What could a DM possibly send at L1 characters? ;)

Realised it was remiss of me not to have popped in to say hi to everyone! I'll be helping Ket co-DM, partly because I play too many of his games, partly because we go decades back in Pbem, and partly because I was toying with DMing a Saltmarsh game myself. Ket's still the main boss, but I can fill in for all the NPC voices, and cover when he's busy at work. Looking forward to this!
