Terry looks up from staring at the ground. Huh, what was that? I wasn't paying attention. Once he see's how shaken Eshe is, he becomes concerned. Hey, you dont look too good. Are you sure you want to continue?

"What do you mean? Of course I want to continue..." Eshe asserts she is fine and carries on, though she looks pale and her breathing seems a bit exaggerated.

Shoulder-height wooden bottle racks line the north and west walls here. There appear to be no intact bottles left in the racks and shattered bottles cover the floor.

Against the east wall, at the foot of the stairs, rest two large metal storage bins that appear to be empty.

In the center of the room lies a human corpse clad in plate mail; a longsword lies by the corpse’s right side, and a large shield covers its legs.

Pong sweeps the broken glass aside as he makes his way to the corpse.

How long has the person been dead? Are the sword and shield any good?

It appears that the man has been dead for several weeks at this point. His armor, weapon, and shield are all battered but usable.

Terry follows Pong, careful not to damage his clothes on the glass that the turtle-man is brushing aside. Well, he certainly doesn't look like an alchemist.

Yeah, are we talking fresh or skeletal corpse? Are the weapons and armor destroyed by ghosts/time like everything else or are they alright? I saw.

As Lucan bends down to examine the corpse, the neck bulges out and bursts, spewing tiny creatures that resemble maggots all over. He manages to back out of the way before any land on him. You all watch as more and more of them spew forth and begin crawling at you.

Eshe steps forward and takes a swing at the maggots trying to squash them with the flat of her axe. "Nothing but bugs...."
She tries to get her mind off the eerie sounds by focusing on a new enemy.

Wow, you guys rolled REALLY well

It takes but a few moments and the piles of maggots are crushed into mush. As Sobek scoops them into his mouth, they begin to burrow into his flesh, eating him from within (4 damage). It takes a moment to clear his mouth of the maggots, but he's fine when the process is finished.

They were rot grubs! You gain 33 xp!
