moving towards the testing room, your sensors can show the scorch marks of lasers, and there was definitely a scuffle the engineer goes back to his control panel and on a speaker says, Please prepare yourself for our final test.
OOC:
Roll Initiative.
Out comes this odd flickering image that seems like lots of small particles together.

Rolls

MDS Initiative - (1d20+1)

(9) + 1 = 10

Jul 13, 2019 2:43 am
T-9000 crouches into a ready stance as his processors whir into overdrive.

Rolls

Initiative - (1d20+5)

(1) + 5 = 6

Jul 13, 2019 8:21 pm
The thing flies at T-9000 and strikes with a strength that even rocks the machine to it's core.

Rolls

MDS strike - (1d20+9)

(13) + 9 = 22

Jul 15, 2019 7:47 pm
T-9000 jumps backwards putting some distance between himself and the odd creature.

"Well it certainly packs a punch," he says to the the scientists monitoring him in the other room.

The strange flickering particles intrigue T-9000. Activating his microscopic sensors he analyzes one up close trying to get a better sense of what it is that he's facing.
OOC:
Hey, this may be a dumb question but should I be rolling a damage resistance check? and if so what damage rank am I rolling against?

Rolls

Expertise (Science) - (1d20+11)

(1) + 11 = 12

Jul 15, 2019 10:02 pm
OOC:
Yes you should, and the damage rank is 12.
Jul 16, 2019 2:31 pm
OOC:
tried posing this before, but it didn't seem to work for some reason, so If you see two of these posts disregard this one

Rolls

Damage resistance check: toughness (15) vs Damage (12+15) - (1d20+15)

(15) + 15 = 30

Jul 16, 2019 9:44 pm
OOC:
I think I follow you pass the check just fine. it is also your turn to make an attack.
Jul 17, 2019 2:32 am
OOC:
Right, sorry if this has become unclear. Instead of attacking I used my standard action to make an Expertise (Science) check and my move action to back away.
Jul 18, 2019 3:17 pm
OOC:
I apologize right,
With your science check, you could tell the thing is not actually one consistent A.I. but infect more of a swarm of them.
Jul 20, 2019 1:59 am
"Fascinating", T-9000 said as he prepared for his opponents next move, "I have to wonder how effective direct attacks will be against such a being."
Jul 25, 2019 8:47 pm
OOC:
hey if you're busy with real life, then no hard feeling, but it's been about a week so I just wanted to make sure you realized it was the bad guys turn.
Jul 29, 2019 5:53 pm
OOC:
I apologize moving took way more time in my day then I realized, I usually do not leave my players so high and dry and apologize for my absence.
The machine creates another sound similar to gears and white noise put together, and lashes out at you again.

Rolls

MDS strike - (1d20+9)

(8) + 9 = 17

Jul 31, 2019 11:47 am
OOC:
No problem at all, moving can be tough. I usually just make it a habit to start poking people around the one week mark in these sorts of games.

Rolls

Damage resistance check: toughness (15) - (1d20+15)

(5) + 15 = 20

Jul 31, 2019 11:55 am
This time T-9000 is unable to shrug off the blow as it rocks him backwards a few steps.

'Time to go on the offensive', he thinks.

Winding back his arm he throws a powerful blow at his opponent.

Rolls

Close Combat (Unarmed) - (1d20+10)

(8) + 10 = 18

Jul 31, 2019 3:42 pm
OOC:
So you miss the MDS but could you also roll my a toughness check as its last hit made its mark?
The MDS starts to whir and then takes flight about 30 ft. in the air.
Aug 1, 2019 12:26 am
OOC:
yep, I rolled toughness check in the post before my attack, got a 20. If I'm understanding the rules correctly that means I'm at -1 on future toughness checks until I recover?

OOC:
I believe its -1 yes and I apologize on my overlook.
Aug 5, 2019 11:53 am
T-9000 hops into the air as his legs split apart into several segments that retract towards his body and reform into two jet turbines attached at his shoulder blades. Roaring to life, they rocket him into uppercut aimed at his opponents chin.

Rolls

Close Combat (Unarmed) - (1d20+10)

(13) + 10 = 23

Shocked absorption.
OOC:
Dazed and confused

Rolls

Shock Absorption - (1d20+11)

(4) + 11 = 15

With the damage its taken the MDS glows a bright green color and then disappears, the engineer looks confused but still promises you your payment. The other dropped heroes are taken to the infirmary.
