Forcing levels would seem to be a much easier option than having to scale everything back. I'm not a big fan of XP myself as every time I've dealt with it, it has led to situations just like this.

Took the average HP increase. The dice have never been kind to me when it comes to that. Got my spells sorted and ready to go!

I'm actually a bit torn, as I'd end up metagaming, but it'd probably be a good idea for Soliin to, at least in character, talk to some mages to understand his new powers, but specially since these guys are decent at illusion spells, even more so.

I took the average hit point increase for level 7, and picked a spell I think will eventually be needed, Banishment!
