To be clear, there's no couch. No furniture. Literally nothing on the floor in the entire apartment, save for the furnishings like the bath and toilet that literally can't be wrenched up. Every object that is present in the apartment, aside from the cardboard box left by the police for you guys and the radio, tape player, and Walkman that Karl looked at earlier, is adhered to the walls and ceiling.This doesn't significantly affect anything that's happened yet, but just want to make sure you really understand what you're all looking at here.
EDIT: Going to wait for King and Kirby to finish up in the vestibule and decide what their course of action is before I dive in to any of these search rolls.

We'll see whether Kirby joins King and the others back in the apartment when Cave checks in. In the meantime...Actually, I don't really want to get out of sync with the timeline for this section. I trust he'll get something up within the next day or two, and none of us are going anywhere. So I'm going to wait to see what he wants to do with Kirby before I resolve all this within the narrative. But anyway.

King steadily continued about the routine business, not necessarily being very successful at this drudge work. But he trusted the others to call out if attention was needed .

Karl frowns at a strange, backpack-sized radio colored fatigue green attached to the wall. He looks around back to see how it's connected to the wall, then looks over the control panel.
"Awful lot of audio-related equipment here. And why is it all attached to the walls? Or at least, used to be," he adds, glancing back at the other audio equipment they checked earlier. He considers for a moment, then seems to come to a decision, taking a deep breath and letting it out with a sigh before he picks up the telephone handset attached to the unit and holding it to his ear.
