King squinted to see if it was a Big Bear cab, then caught himself. "I'm drawing the line at what's coincidence, and what's occult."

"Okay, well... whatever it is, I can't see the guy any more, and that could very well mean he's on his way here, so... what next, huh?" Karl asks, just a hint of panic creeping into his voice. He looks from face to face and back again. "Huh? Pretty big stretch to call it coincidence, don't you think?"

"We should look for other exits. I didn't really see any other then the fire escape earlier when i was looking around. That may be our route of egress should something happen.

"I don't know, looks like a false alarm to me. You think it's one of the tenants? I'm game to pop my head out again." King waved his weapon threateningly.

Kylie watches them wide eyed. "Okayyyyy. That was definitely weird, but no need to go full re-, er, get so jumpy. I'm sure we'll face worse than obnoxious horn guy." Her pale face gives the lie to her attempt at humour.

King moved to the main door, looking at Kirby once again, the go-to for special ops, for back up.

Kirby nods in understanding and stacks behind Agent King."Set."

With King and Kirby handling the main door, Karl decides to stay put at the window to watch for any other out-of-the-ordinary visitors or other weirdness. He does keep his gun out, though.

King opened the door, and first scanned the corridor. Then he moved past the letter boxes to the main door of the building, to see if there was anyone nearby, just outside or across the road.

Kylie watches them file out of the room, but stays put.

King and Kirby return to the apartment. It's shortly after 1 a.m.

"How long you think we should keep at this tonight?" Karl says to the others. "I mean, if you all think an all-nighter is in the cards, okay... but I'm going to need a hell of a lot more coffee."
