Wu Meng was stunned to find Shifu Rao's flute! What could this mean? Was Rao involved with Atekhramun in some way? Meng suddenly had something to ponder over later as he tucked the flute away in the folds of his robe. For now it was best that they returned for some rest. It had been a long night.
"There are two scrolls here which Iko or Feng might want to examine." He handed them the magic items. "Our sorceror also left behind some coin, which we may be able to put to better use, perhaps to undo the harm he caused." The monk did a strange thing next, for a man with his integrity. Without consultation, he took a small handful of gold coin from the chest before closing the lid again. He then handed the chest over to warrior Wei, who seemed most able to heft it back. Then, more discreetly, he turned to the slave girl Mei, when no one was looking, and pressed the coins into her hand. "These will come in handy. Perhaps they are the first steps towards your freedom."
Straightening up, he got ready to return with the others to the suite, to discuss their next plans.

"With Hua unable to do so, I shall have to make the detour to the Crippled Crane first, as promised. I won't be long." Meng assisted Mei to get up, carrying her if need be. He looked to Iko, to see if he wanted the other scroll.

Iko nods to Wu and takes the scroll, stashing it away within his robe. "Bring the girl with us," Iko says, gesturing to Mei. "I will look her over after I bandage up Rong Hua; make sure no illness has befallen her as well."

Dae-Won and Sungyeol lead the way back to the inn, where you are taken to the Guildmaster's suite to finally get some rest and discuss what to do next. The brothers retire to the dormitory but promise to check in on you later in case you need anything.

Ok, time to Make Camp. Consider this End of Session. I'm pretty sure most of you will level up.We're going to do this step by step:
1. After the full night's rest, all of you heal damage equal to half your max HP.
2. If anyone wants more healing, consume your own healing potion or bandages, or ask for someone else's. Discuss that here. 1 dose heals 10hp or removes one debility (your choice). 1 use of bandages heals 7hp.
4. When healed up, we go to End of Session. First, look to see if any of your Bonds are resolved (completely explored, no longer relevant, or otherwise). Ask the player of the character you have the bond with if they agree. If they do, mark 1 XP and write a new bond with whomever you wish.
5. Next, look at your Alignment. Write here how you fulfilled your alignment at least once this session, then Mark 1 XP.
6. Then, everyone answer these questions:
a) Did we learn something new and important about the world?
b) Did we overcome a notable monster or enemy?
c) Did we loot a memorable treasure?
For each "yes" answer everyone marks XP.
7. If everyone has enough XP, we'll Level Up. We'll go into more detail later.
8. Lastly, we'll sort out that treasure and start the next story chapter! :-)

4 Bonds. Meng didn't have a chance to work with Iko, Wei or Feng. For Hua, Meng's bond is 'My master would not approve of me working with Hua'. Which is kinda true, since Hua gets into trouble, and Meng is always trying to get [them] out of trouble. But perhaps we can create a new bond to show a newer working relationship between the two.
5a Alignment. Lawful - Help someone resolve a situation peacefully. Meng found a peaceful solution with Zhao Xun the assassin. That might count to mark xp.
5b Monk's Path. Meng will be donating his share of treasure away. (We haven't divided it yet, when we do, some of his will go to Mei.) Possible to mark xp here.
6a We learnt a number of new and important things for sure, from Meng's perspective he now has some idea of the plots between the great houses, and also the seedier side of the city (he made friends with an assassin and a madame, not quite his usual crowd!)
6b Atehkramun!
6c Atehkramun's treasure is significant for poor level 1 characters, heh. Meng also found a 'personal' treasure, the lost flute.

Great start, Meng! Mark 3 XP for those things you mentioned. But keep in mind that Rong Hua needs to agree to the proposed new bond.I think you have the right idea: it's better to go by character rather than by item. So yeah, go ahead and respond to #6 as well, Meng (yes, please elaborate a little rather than answer with just "yes" or "no.")

1&2: Iko will rest to fully heal, but Rong Hua should let me know if she requires more healing after her rest.4: I think my bond with Xian Feng, Xian Feng is in constant danger, I will keep them safe. is more or less resolved. Xian Feng has proven to Iko that she can handle herself, much better than he would ever be able to protect her. Let me know if you agree somebox.
5: Alignment, Lawful. Iko endangered himself to teach the bandits a lesson about suffering (although Xian Feng did most of the teaching)
6a: Iko learned more about the feuding between the houses that rule the city, and how far their feud reaches.
6b: I would agree with Wu Meng on the giant sorcerer/snake.
6c: Iko is interested to see his new scroll in action.

Ack didn't realize we were gonna do all of them, here I go!4) @DarkReaver I agree with the statement. Looking at my own bonds the one I used for Iko may likewise be relevant: "Iko has felt the hellish touch of fire, now they know my strength." After the numerous battles and getting jabbed by a dagger himself I'd say we have explored the bond in a fairly personal manner.
I propose changing the bond to reverse the roles: "Iko needs my protection, whether he knows it or not."
5) Feng is fairly petty and apathetic to anyone who isn't her friend, such as Dae Won and his brother who have indirectly suffered as a result. She also doesn't do anything to prevent violence when talking their way out of a situation was possible, such as the incident with the thugs in the alley.
6)
a) Feng has discovered the world (or at least Opal city) is overflowing with criminals and corruption wherever she goes, not to mention the rival houses who are vying for control.
b) Yes, the sorcerer is the most likely candidate for this.
c) The sorcerer's stash of money and scrolls.
