Absences

Managed to catch another virus on the end of Covid, so I may be slow to post in things again while I recover. Apologies.

I will be on a trip to some parks from 1 July (tomorrow) through the 5th (Friday). I expect our lodging to have internet access, so I will endeavor to post regularly, but there's always some uncertainty when traveling.

Got a new operation date. Will go in on Thursday the 4th. Starting to feel something resembling humanoid again though, so should be able to post reliably until then.

Spotty posting from me from tonight through next Saturday evening -- vacation and such!

Beryl grazed my island. We got very lucky. Other islands didn't fare so well against the 150 mph winds and inches of rain.

A cat 4 this early in hurricane season is a bad sign.

Can you do me a favor? I can't get to the absences thread. Tell them we probably had a tornado and are waiting for confirmation from NWS, but I won't be posting until power or cell service is back up. None of them are showing an ETA. No damage apart from a few branches here. Nearby not so much.
