Boundless - Hangar

Jul 4, 2019 11:05 am
OOC:
A wide open space where the Jedi can practice their acrobatic combat skills with plenty of room to maneuver. It is also the location of two shuttles and 14 starfighters.

Steef Chuckles and says to Charlie "Well i have no problem with my padawan he is a bit weird but he is fine i just blindfolded him and left him to learn alone"
Jul 12, 2019 8:30 pm
"Now that is an interesting teaching method," Charlie takes in the sights of the Hangar. It is spacious, even with the shuttles and a number of strafighters waiting their hour, and it vaguely reminds him of every military hangar he ever saw. Maybe not as great a training ground, but at least it has enough room for West to swing his axe. "And it might actually be a good preparation for Arkania! Have you ever tried to fight during a blizzard? Not a pleasant experience."
As he is telling all that, Charlie removes Sea Monster, his axe, from its holder, and looks back at Steef. "Weapon or hand to hand, any preference?"
OOC:
I admit, I don't exactly have an idea of how axe versus lightsaber training can work, but we can go with them just redirecting their hits if opponent cannot dodge? XD (Or pull out training weapons from a convenient box somewhere.)
Or, again, just wrestle (with Force). A bit strange for the Jedi, but hey!

The Jedi practice unarmed combat but training equipment would be loaded on board for the new Academy on Arkania.

Steef chuckles at charlie "hand to hand"

In Feng Shui when it comes to 'weapon destruction' it happens when the plot requires it or someone sets out to destroy the weapon and not a moment before. Since the axe is a Signature Weapon it can't be destroyed, though it can be damaged or temporarily lost it always makes.its way back into the plot. This is a 'movie rpg' system. Movie logic applies as does the 'rule of cool'.

(What was that an answer to? Did someone stealthily questioned my axe? XD)

Hey, Cep, I remember I described Charlie's jacket as armored, but should I actually count it as light armor? It isn't a bulletproof vest, per se. XD
And if we're training, do we count wounds as normal but just pretend they are just fatique, and not wounds?
"As you wish," Charlie leaves Sea Monster propped against a wall, and after a brief consideration, puts away his throwing axes on a crate near it. He then drops his Jedi robe over the same crate, now only in a black jacket and pants - West never understood how Jedi robes can be considered practical for fighting, - and turns back to Steef, his eyes glinting with excitement. "Shall we?"

Feng Shui is highly cinematic. The general idea is that a character is healed after a fight unless A) that is actually part of the story or B) the player thinks it's cooler to not be healed. Even if your character is 'injured' they will just look beat up, like with a limo, but with no actual penalties.

IE: If Charlie gets his arm cut off in this fight and doesn't get a replacement by the next one, he will be at full health and with no penalties unless A) I say he does because it's dramatic or B) You say he does because it's dramatic. And you can count the armor as light or heavy but for martial arts characters it lowers your agility by one, hence why Jedi don't wear much armor. Again the rules are very light. It doesn't count as armor unless you want it to. A Jedi in robes vs. armored robes would have the same armor if the player doesn't want that penalty/bonus. It's all cinematic.

Steef put's his light saber away and drops his jedi robe on the ground "lets begin"

OOC:
(...I don't think you meant it like this, but now I'm imagining Jedi and Sith fighting each other with limousines instead of lightsabers.) I was mainly asking about it to know how to describe action results, but I guess in Feng Shui it is highly up to the imagination. XD
And I'll go with light armor, this isn't that big a penalty - plus, he is supposed to be more armored. Even Jedi need brute force! But speaking of "it doesn't count unless you want it to", does it mean that I can ignore the penalty outside of a fight if I want to? :D

Steef, should we start? Roll for initiative?
Jul 13, 2019 4:40 pm
OOC:
Well, if you take the benefit, you take the penalty. But otherwise, yes. And, as long as you're fine with the limo only doing regular thrown object damage, sure.
Jul 13, 2019 4:41 pm
OOC:
let's start go and roll roll
Jul 13, 2019 4:42 pm
"Good luck!" Charlie's body tenses as he slips into a battle stance, starting to slowly circle Steef.
OOC:
...uh, do Initiative rolls explode? XD
OOC:
And just for your reference, Steef, my relevant stats!
Passive Dodge: 14-1 (Martial, -1 for armor)
Toughness: 8+1 (+1 for armor)

Edit: actually, Martial is 13, forgot to substract for armor.

It's 1d6 + Speed.
Jul 13, 2019 4:49 pm
OOC:
1d6 + Reflexes. Yes, 1d6+ Speed, if you don't have a Speed it's Reflexes.

Well ok
Steef runs into charlie to punch him in the stomach

OOC:
You can do all of your 3 AP each after the other, right?

Cep, how will Defend action (which is active for a round) work if I'm the last in order? Does the bonus carry on to next round or is it useless in this case?
