"How does one go about finding a relay?" Csillag asks, genuinely curious.
May 11, 2016 10:42 pm
"If we can get back to where we were for the comms array although we may need to sneak up on it if people or droids are there we'll be set or be able to ping other locations in the area possibly. Not my skill set though." Heyop guessed aloud looking to Dagger, "Is it doable you think if we find it again?"
May 12, 2016 1:04 am
Should be able to make it happen. One way or another, I say as I flip the hilt of my light saber in the air, fumbling with it and nearly dropping it.

Relay? Did I say relay? I meant the array. But yeah, I can try to hack it.
May 12, 2016 1:10 am
"Yes, relay is what you said."
May 12, 2016 1:11 am
Relay. Array. I mean I've heard it both ways. But let's try to find and disable whatever it is, I say as I take point and start heading out of the cave the way we came in.
May 12, 2016 1:58 am
Kaveri wonders aloud, "Why disable things further? Doesn't that run the risk of having us have to deal with Imperials? We know the Imperials are locking down this cave -- as they have the planet. I don't know that our efforts will do anything other than call attention to ourselves like birds fleeing from a predator. A savvy hunter will know that means trouble and come looking."
May 12, 2016 2:48 am
Well, your suddenly very astute, I say dryly to Kaveri. Alright, new plan. We get out of here unnoticed and head home.
May 12, 2016 2:16 pm
Urik nods, "I don't see the point of meddling here. Lets make our exit."
May 13, 2016 12:56 pm
The decision made, the group of you make for the exit through the quickest known path. Kaveri takes point and begins to stealthily guide the group forward with Csillag nearby keeping an eye and an ear out for any probe droids. Thanks, in part, to Kaveri's prior success in scouting out the path, you are able to avoid any Imperial entanglement back to the entrance. Staring out upon the canyon, your territorial friend doesn't appear to be visible at the moment.

"Feels like we were down there for a month... We can either climb up or find a backtrack up the side, I'm of a mind to think we should find a vantage and assess around the ship before we get to it." Heyop comments rolling his neck and breathing in fresh air. He coughs slightly and remembers it's hot and dusty up topside.
May 13, 2016 2:14 pm
I welcome the heat and warmth after the darkness of the cave for so long. I stretch out a bit and try to get bearings on where we made our decent down into the canyon. Sounds like a plan, but first we have to get up and out of this canyon.
May 13, 2016 10:05 pm
Squinting her eyes while shielding them from the light Csillag takes a long deep breath as she joins the others. "No more climbing if it can be avoided" she says half pleading. "I've nearly killed myself and others due to my clumsiness, I'd rather not chance it again."

She pats the side of her robes, checking the presence of her lightsaber, still half thinking the whole experience was some sort of dream.

As a group -- you cautiously work your way back across the canyon -- Kaveri suggests staying outside the strange mounds, since that seemed to affect the creature's behavior on the way in... in what seems like days ago and you easily make it across the canyon without arousing the ire of a grumpy beast. At Csillag's behest, you all look around for a better place to climb up -- and with enough time and care, a relatively straightforward climb up is found that gets you back above the canyon and on your way to the Kirtan Strider.

With Heyop's note of caution, ringing, however, you do not just tromp forward -- but look around for a vantage point to ensure things are safe and sound back at the ship.
OOC:
Do you go together, or send someone as a scout?
May 14, 2016 5:59 pm
"We should look for high ground and make sure we're not running into an ambush." Heyop mutters looking up for a location that would give them a better idea of what they're going to be getting into. If it wasn't so hot he probably wouldn't be scowling right now...
May 16, 2016 1:29 pm
If we need a scout I volunteer to check ahead. A lone person would probably provoke less ire if someone is there than a whole group of people. The rest of you could take the high ground and be ready to come in if needed, I offer to the group.
May 16, 2016 9:42 pm
"We'll find some ground to watch as you scout ahead then." Csillag concurs."Just give us a quick sign and the we'll rush to join you."
May 17, 2016 3:22 am
Dagger darts off, quietly sneaking around corners and attempting to find a good spot to look upon the ship should the time come. Heyop, meanwhile, leads the rest of the company another direction -- seeking the high ground. The terrain isn't exactly forgiving, but you are able to scramble up a ledge and begin picking your way towards the Kirtan Strider from above.

Dagger makes his way towards the ship along the ground -- moving carefully among the cuts in the rock and the scattered boulders and whatnot. The terrain doesn't feel all that different from his homeworld of Ryloth.
OOC:
Dagger please do a RRPP stealth check. I'll give you two boosts -- one due to terrain similarity to your homeworld and the other because you're being cautious and suspicious.
May 17, 2016 11:51 am
Dagger stealth a his way towards the ship as best as he can muster.
