OOC:
I was waiting for them to get closer. I figured drawing the saber is a maneuver and moving to engage is another and Csillag is already at half her Strain threshold. I also wasn't sure how many she'd be wading into to fight. Saber time is coming though!! :-)

Ah, thank you. I searched all over the net for the acronym and it came up with some Path of Life stuff that I didn't understand. I knew that couldn't be it :)

Since Marc has his Heavy Blaster Rifle attached to the side of his backpack, is he going to be stopped by the guards, or will they just let him go past them into town on his way to stock up on rations?

The troopers in the back work on covering the area with fire -- seeing a couple of their comrades go down, they nonetheless feel like they have the initiative. They advance while firing, closing the distance to you.
OOC:
All troopers are at Short Range to Heyop, Csillag and Mal -- they are medium range to Joka
This time, their concentrated blaster fire finds Csillag crouching behind cover... The hail of blaster bolts is enough that the cover Csillag sought out falls apart around her -- and her holdout blaster takes several hits in a row, throwing it out of her hands and blasting it to ... well... bits. Csillag narrowly avoids taking damage, but is more than a little put-out at the situation.
OOC:
Csillag's blaster is dead, you no longer are in cover and you upgrade the difficulty of your next attack. No other damage taken. Players! You're up next in any order. Joka you too!
Marc makes his way into town on his speeder -- it's a perfectly civilized place, Reles, for being out in the hind end of the Outer Rim. Perhaps the proximity to the Corporate Sector helps citizens here avoid too much of the recidivism of a place like Tatooine. Anyway, he is unharassed as he makes his way to the marketplace -- it seems like the best place to make use of reprovisioning.
OOC:
Marc -- I've not laid down a no weapons law previously, so thank you for the question -- but you are unmolested at this point.

Rolls

Troop 2 (4 troopers) fire. Csillag cover.

2 Success, 2 Advantage, 1 Triumph, 3 Threat

Total: 2 Success, 1 Threat, 1 Triumph

Jan 30, 2017 9:16 pm
Heyop pops up and shots at the converging storm troopers before taking off and diving for cover farther away from them.
OOC:
Advantage Spend: are there two groups still or one big group of Troopers? I'm thinking a set back to the next bad guy and a boost to Csillag should spend most of it.

Rolls

Heavy Ranged

1 Success, 5 Advantage, 2 Threat

Total: 1 Success, 3 Advantage

Jan 30, 2017 10:31 pm
Looking over her shoulder at what used to be a fine holdout blaster Csillag growls and reaches for her belt. Taking the hilt of her lightsaber into her hand she jumps up and rushes the closest trooper, attempting to slice him in two with a single swing of her cyan blade.
OOC:
Boost from Heyop, Red for the upgrade to the attack!

BALLS! I'll take the two advantage to recover the strain from my second maneuver.

Rolls

Lightsaber Attack

2 Success, 2 Advantage, 2 Failure

Total: 2 Advantage

Jan 30, 2017 11:48 pm
OOC:
Melee is always 2P -- so adding another P.

Rolls

Slightly more difficult...

2 Failure

Total: 2 Failure

Jan 30, 2017 11:49 pm
OOC:
Heyop - still two groups of troopers. 1 at 4 and 1 at 2. Are you after the 1 or 2 group? The 2 group acts after you guys.
Jan 30, 2017 11:53 pm
OOC:
Thought Engaged is 1P? Have to pull out the RB and see what I'm missing here...
Jan 31, 2017 12:06 am
OOC:
Melee is always 2P. Short / engaged is 1P + modifiers depending on weapon size. So a holdout blaster at engaged would be 1P, but a rifle might be 3P at engaged.

Found it! Just in time for my players to show up for our biweekly game too. Learned something new. :-)

That is a relief. Marc is in the marketplace trying to buy some rations and then take off toward the coordinates he has for Hethan Romund. He's not looking for trouble, he is still low in spirit after the death of his mother and his world being turned upside down, he's determined to follow the Path of the Light and not waste his chance at redemption that Nez gave him. He takes the Way of the Iron Fist very seriously and is trying to find answers to help him on his new path in the Light side of the Force.
OOC:
Unless Falryx decides Marc needs to get involved in this fight, he's trying to steer clear of trouble. No offense

I'd probably be looking at the smaller group then of 2.
Jan 31, 2017 4:28 pm
Mal opens fire again

Rolls

shootin'

1 Success, 3 Advantage, 3 Failure, 1 Threat

Total: 2 Failure, 2 Advantage

Jan 31, 2017 5:29 pm
OOC:
The dice are unkind to you guys today. Heyop - range is short so you have 4 advantage. You can give 1 boost to Csillag (that doesn't do her any good) and trigger the critical hit with the other 3A -- that plus your damage would eradicate group 1. Let me know if you'd like to go that route or continue with the setback route.
Jan 31, 2017 5:41 pm
OOC:
Spending three to take out a group sounds like what I want to do. And we mostly shoot like you'd expect mostly non soldiers to shoot. We're hitting the ballpark though just not the right plates...
Jan 31, 2017 7:27 pm
OOC:
Mal - 3 advantage (due to the second P not being required) -- thoughts on how you'd like to spend it? Perhaps you spot something perched which will cut off the stormtroopers and buy you some time? Or you explode a nearby fire suppression system that upgrades their attack difficulty?
