"Someone has done great wrong here. In the past..." Urik shakes his head to clear it, blaster at the ready.

OOC: @Remnant: Urik has the sword and is openly carrying it on his back. He has claimed it as his own.

I know you still have it, Heyop concern is having actually used it personally if it had residual side effects on him plus he's a little freaked out currently so I'm playing it conspiracy theory based on what's happening at least in his head. Since the sword flooded Heyop's mind with ideas and feelings from using it he's wondering if it's like radiation poisoning due to use and/or proximity having a lasting affect on him and you for the matter mentally...

"I'm seeing strange things; visions of selfish glory and the fear and envy that you all are going to betray me to take the honor for yourselves..." Kaveri takes a long deep breath. "I choose to believe that these are lies of the Dark Side trying to prey upon our baser instincts, and not premonitions of the future..."
Dec 8, 2015 3:01 am
"Do not heed the dark visions. Dark deeds were committed here, but real danger may be imminent! Stay vigilant!" You can tell by the direction of the words that this is Urik speaking, but this is not his normal tone. His voice is full of confidence and command. He sounds less like the boy he is, and more like a man; a leader of men.

Urik had been swimming in the very real dark side of the force. While his heart thuds in his chest, his mind and body brace to defend the blow he has been trained to expect.

Another round of rolls.

As the party moves along the cave -- and shortly before Urik speaks up with his warning, each of you notice him looking deeper into the crystals -- lagging slightly behind the group before catching up to speak his warning.

"Calm yourself Kaveri the only glory and honor will be getting out of this cave without being covered in gunk." Heyop stated as he foot dread on something squishy as he tried kicking it free as he walked. Eyeing Urik Heyop looked at Dagger with a raised eyebrow. "O...kay..." he said slowly shaking his hair free from his face as he went to scanning the surroundings.

If this Holicron has some prankster Jedi Personality I'm finding the foulest animal dung to bury it in... Heyop thought to himself... this oddly enough made him feel a little better about the creepy cave they had been traveling through for some time.

Csillag comes to a stop and starts to look about, a slightly confused expression on her face.

The occasional sound echoes through the cave.

...and provides context for me to note back.

"There's no gunk here, Heyop. You must be stepping in more visions..." Kaveri tries to keep a straight face as she says this, grateful for the humor to break the tension.

Channeled through Csillag the Force washes over you all. The presence is comforting and restoring and it's difficult to pass up on the opportunity to close your eyes. When you do -- you are all centered in on a vision -- you can clearly see each of you, yet around you the events of the past unfold...

The image of a man coalesces around you -- he is in the garb of a local hunter and he enters the caves that you are in. Dark waves gently emanate from him as cruelty and disdain for his prey enshroud him like a dark robe of evil. Ignoring the beauty of the tunnels around him, his path takes him to a central cavern, in which a mature icewolf mother tends to her pups.

The hunter sights down his rifle at the icewolf mother's neck, then adjusts his aim towards her legs. A ghostly slug flies from the rifle in slow motion, and you follow it as it slams into the icewolf in the silent cruelty of the vision. The icewolf is clearly in pain and obviously injured and the hunter fires another shot, then approaches her litter with an open sack. He stuffs cub after cub within, glaring at their injured den mother as if daring her to stop him.

The apparition of the hunter becomes threaded through with vile-looking black veins as you watch, and when he turns to leave, they erupt from his body and worm their way into the cave walls. The vision and the ghostly figures fade, but you still sense the corruption the hunter's actions unleashed. For as long as the mark of his deeds remains upon the cave, his spite and cruelty will remain as well.

Each of you stand, blinking in the caves once more -- certain of the path to the center and now aware of what has enhanced the taint of the dark side in this vergence of the Force.

All characters also remove all strain as a benefit of the vision and the Force's guiding and comforting nature.

Kaveri shudders. "How do we correct this? Do we return the abducted icewolves, do we bring that villain back to the caves to serve restitution, or do we meditate and pray for cleansing, as we did in the Temple? What do you think?"
Dec 9, 2015 12:55 pm
The images seemed a little surreal and made him wonder about the animosity outside and where it was directed at specifically. They could go back to the village to find out about one of them possibly raising Ice Wolf Pups but for now they should probably move forward.

"I think for now we press forward to find the heart of the malice and the holocron, a cleansing might help the transfer of malice I guess from what the hunter did that was maybe tied to the dying spirit or anchoring her here… that’s not really my area of known how but maybe the Holocron if we find it can help. I do think we should find the hunter and he should answer for what he did… but we also need to find the truth behind this? Was it a man who’s children were attacked and killed by the mother to feed her young and this was a spiteful act of vengeance? Or was it just cruel intent to harm something for the sake of enjoyment… I kind of wonder if the wolves just want to come home." Heyop stated as his breathed deeply his nostrils flaring, he may not know the full story but he didn’t like what he saw. All in all he’d rather be dealing with poachers than this kind of situation.

Csillag takes a moment to gather herself before asking "How long ago do you think that happened? Is the man responsible for this even still alive?"
Dec 11, 2015 4:06 am
Kaveri nods at Heyop's suggestion and Csillag's queries. "Those are good questions - I was wondering that, myself. But I think Heyop is correct - we should at least find the center of these caves and see what can be done, if anything."

She peers around them again.

"I have to admit I'm nervous about those ice wolves. I would have expected them to attack us by now, after herding us in here."

If there's no further action (like ice wolves choosing the most ironic moment to attack), after a few moments Kaveri will shrug and continue on, leading the way to the center of the caves.
Dec 11, 2015 2:34 pm
"There is the definite possibility we'll deal with something even they don't want to deal with head on...Be on guard." Heyop warned and added to the horrors and gloom of the situation. Keeping them in mind once they found whatever was in here was something to keep in the back of his mind. A pincher attack or three way battle would be something they'd need to prepare for.
Dec 11, 2015 3:06 pm
"But, what about these crystals? I seemed to see something in them. Do you think they resonate with the force?" Urik seems distracted. He keeps touching and looking closely at the crystals in the cave.
Dec 11, 2015 3:26 pm
"Crystals?" Heyop states raising an eyebrow and flashing a light towards where Urik is.

(OoC: Checking to see if he's looking at something real... or something I hadn't noticed... If it's poo.... XD...)

Crystals line the cave and give them their luminescence -- if you stare into them, you see guided visions of the Old Republic flash through them in a rapid succession -- it's almost overwhelming in its intensity and speed as centuries stream by in a matter of seconds. It's all rather difficult to make sense of -- and the visions converge on the strange hunter and the wounded icewolf mother. Heyop is somewhat surprised that in his distraction and distrust of the cave and its environs that he missed the beauty that the crystals offer.

Urik, having spent more time staring at them than the rest of you feels a gentle tug on his senses. A quiet beckoning of need.
