Urik fires off several shots from his purloined carbine at the probe droid -- as the wave of inbound stormtroopers are too far away to hit. One of the shots connects and causes the droid to spark alarmingly, but it stays aloft. The droid is able to move such that Urik's ability to land a subsequent hit is limited.

Kaveri kneels at the entrance, trying to use the side of the starship as cover while she encourages Dagger and Csillag further in. "Get on the door controls and get ready to close this thing as soon as Urik hits the ramp!" She fires a shot off at the probe droid as well, but her shots are, at best, covering fire. However, it does force the probe droid into a disadvantageous position and it is unable to get a shot off at Urik as a result.

Heyop peels buy Urik and Kaveri and makes it onto the ship.

Mal, meanwhile, is pretty convinced the ship can take off and not fall back to the ground. Kaveri, Mal and Urik see what must be 20 or 30 stormtroopers piling down the entrance of the bowl -- they start firing their blasters, somewhat wildly and the air around you fills with blaster bolts and dust as pillars are hit scores of times from the collected firepower of the stormtroopers.
OOC:
Urik is 'short' distance from the ship (one maneuver to get there). Everyone else is onboard safely.

If Urik attacks the probe droid again (or any stormtroopers) he takes a setback due to his 2 threat.

Dagger goes back up the ramp to the door controls and prepares to close the ramp when he sees Urik get onboard.

Seeing the probe droid move out of direct fire line of sight, and seeing the overwhelming force on its way, Urik decides to execute a "retrograde maneuver".

In other words, he turns tail and bolts for the ramp. He jumps aboard, and immediately ducks to the side and stabs himself in the leg with a Stimpack (recovering 5 Wounds).

Heyop slings the Carbine and assesses the turret to see if it's functional and jumps in to see if it's serviceable for a volley of fire if need be.

Mal is able to get the shields up as the ramp closes and the inbound blaster fire from the stormtroopers impact harmlessly against the Kirtan Strider as he lifts the ship into the air over the ground of Phemis. Kaveri walks forward to take a seat with Mal, it sorta being her ship, and settles into the co-pilot seat.

"We should think about whether or not Spintir is the right destination right now with an incapacitated stormtrooper on board..."

She's clearly referring to the unconscious trooper lying outside the supply closet.

Heyop is able to ascertain that the turret is functional, but it no longer has the the ability to rotate. It is locked in the aft firing position.

Mal? What's your plan?

note: I'm happy to give the co-pilot seat to someone else if they'd like the job. Kaveri won't segue out of the action until you return to the Dawn Temple -- but she can help elsewhere on the ship if someone wants that gig.

I join them up in the cockpit, standing behind Kaveri. Actually there is two. The other is locked in the closet....also I busted the door...after he busted it, I say, pointing to Mal. Oh, by the by, I'm Dagger, you are...?

keep an eye out for imperial air support Mal says as way of greeting to Kaveri with a slight nod. he then finds the comm button and pages the whole ship. Everyone hold on. if I see TIEs, things are going to get rough.

My plan is to get out of atmosphere ASAP and jump to anywhere but here. we can plan things out once we're in hyperspace.

Urik will find some rope, wire or binders to tie up the 'troopers. He removes their helmets, taking special notice of their features, their belts and any weapons/tools he can find on them.Then stuffs them both into the closet and wedges the door shut.

"-an you hear me now? Is this thing on? What's the plan? He need to touch down someplace and drop off these soldiers also check their gear make sure we're not getting tracked. Turret works but it ain't moving around to take a shot so wherever it's facing is where I'm shooting unless we have some wrenches maybe to fix things up." Heyop states over the ships' communications stretching his back and scanning the area.

Blast.. Mal mutters under his breath at the news of the turret's condition.

Ok, I can open the hatch midflight and we can dump the troopers out on this rock or we'll just have to make sure they're bound real good and we ditch them somewhere else before we plot another jump to a safer system. More than likely the empire has already placed a tracker on the hull or inside the ship. I say we jump, doesn't matter where, we ditch the troopers, check the hull, then jump to a more friendly system.

Kaveri points to the scope. "A couple TIEs inbound -- I think we need to drop these guys off-planet. Not sure the ship will be good in a dogfight. Can you do some fancy flying and lose them?" She turns and says, "And someone should figure out where we should go and get that put into the navicomp..."

"Csillag you're the smart one between you and me so I vote you rather than me do it. I'll try and lead the TIEs out a bit to have the keep distance and buy time. But since I can't really move too much shooting will tip them off" Heyop says over comms from the gun turret station.

ok, fancy flying time. what I envision is Mal juking and twisting in ways that prevent the TIEs from getting advantage in a dogfight AND help get them within the limited scope of our turrets. all of my bonus dice throguh advantages are going to Heyop to shoot down the TIEs. I'm assuming we all have to make initiative checks
I don't care who does it, as long as a jump gets calculated Mal looks over at Kaveri if you're any good at flying we can help each other.
