"Well, someone's interest in their profession was a bit obsessive. One might even say it had "captured" their entire focus." Baenroth smirks at his own pun as he looks at the vial in an attempt to identify the liquid. "Anyone know what this might be? I wish I had a pocket on this prison smock."

Looks to see if there is anything behind the bookshelves. (if possible)

"Can't move it. Pain." Tries to stand.

Hearing the footsteps, Quiet someone is coming. He strains his hearing to listen carefully.

Baenroth will attempt to hide behind the desk. He pulls out his orb and once again readies and Acid Splash spell to launch at a moments notice.

"What I wouldn't give for my familiar right about now. I can't hear the footfalls anymore. I say we make a break for it." Baenroth offers.

I agree. Lets get moving. Corelief will lead the way further down the corridor.

Lilcyra relaxes her tensed posture now that the immediate unknown entity has left, not even realizing she was so stiff. "The sooner the better."

Manages to get himself off the ground.

Corelief considers the situation, I think we should go back the way we came. Going down the steps probably isn't the way out.

Darastrix will open the door and look out to see if the hall is empty so they can head the opposite way.
