As you make your way to the stairs, a noise catches your attention. Ahead of you, you see a duergar guard missing a leg, crawling towards a short sword.

Baenroth follows the group toward the stairs, forcing himself past the horror of the hallway. He stops at the top of the steps. Baenroth uses his mage hand to move the sword away from the duergar. "Best to do as he says, and also to tell us how to get out of here."

Lilcyra carefully maneuvers around the corpses, trying to hold her breath so as to keep the pungent smell from entering her body. Then she see's the lone Duergar who still draws breath. "Answer the question and we will."

I don’t know who the fuck she is! Some elf with weird weapons that come out of nowhere! And down is the only way out of here, but you’ll never escape, even if you get past her! he laughs and coughs up more blood.

He just continues laughing as more and more blood pours out of his mouth. His eyes glaze over and he stops moving.

No keys are to be found. As a matter of fact, the short sword seems to be the only thing other than body parts and destroyed leather here.

"I would like to leave as soon as possible," Baenroth states without looking back down the hallway. He keeps his eyes focused on the stairs in front of him. "I'm beginning to wonder if this elf he mentioned is the one who let us out of our cages. Someone certainly killed our guards and could have killed us, but didn't. Instead they equipped us. The enemy of my enemy is my friend, after all. Nevertheless, I'm not too keen on meeting her in person..."

Well if what the man says is true than we need to be heading downward to get out of here Corelief picks up the Dwarf's sword and compares it to the Drow's short sword that he has to see if it is better.
