Chapter 1: The Prophesy

Doing her best to smile, Frieda approaches the old Gnome. Excuse me? Could you direct me to the Temple of Veias?

Corelief frowns a moment as he sees the treatment, but says nothing about it. He hands him the two gold Your gold. He takes the leash/rope and will try to lead "it" out of the cage preferring not to haul pull "it" out, but he will if he has to. Corelife is sure none of the others around cares too much one way or the other how Corelief treats "it". As long as "it" doesn't bother the other customers.

Corelief says to Darastrix as he is leaving the tent, I don't want to hear a word from you about this How much trouble is "it" being about leaving the tent on a neck leash? I'm assuming "it" has only 4' to 6' of length at the most from Corelief. Coreleif is keeping a tight grip on the rope. He well knows what happens to run away slaves and it isn't pretty. And by looks of "it's" current attire there is no question that "it" is a slave.

Dara waited for Corelief to leave and followed a few minutes later.

He says in a rather lower volume voice meant for only Darastrix to hear before walking away as Darastrix waits to give distance, I will release her later when we are on the mountain after a good meal. Don't have enough gold to save all.

Corelief wonder how much trouble it is going to be to her cleaned up and with more common clothing so she doesn't so much like a slave. That and he has decided he needs to buy some goods yet for the journey. He wonders if he is going to end up carrying her unconscious.

Walks along quietly after a nod that indicates he heard Corelief.

He uses the single word "Come" in a slightly command manner but not forcefully said and he will gently tug at the leash/rope to indicate for her to move with him. Obviously this is an indication that Corelief doesn't want to drag her. It is apparent that Corelief wishes her to come with him. She may have figured out she is to be with Corelief now. Upgrade from the cage. I'm guessing she has tried to run and such. That is exactly why she is in the cage. So she may have already felt the point of running away.

Corelief tries to move her along as he is going to the merchants to get some supplies.

Frieda heads for the building with the harp-shaped door and goes on in.

Corelief wish to buy 2 Sacks, Bedroll, Waterskin, Tinderbox, Common Clothing, Pouch, Dagger, 2 Mess Kits, Two-Person Tent, Stew ingredients to make 8 servings, & Iron pot. A bit of a load. May have to get a porter if Corelief fails to influence "It" to help. Corelife will also get some minor meat treats. And use them to hopefully influence "it".

Frieda nervously clears her throat. Uh, yeah. I'm here about a man on a horse. He sent me. She describes the human who told her to come to the temple. Ring any bells?

Seeing that Corelief can't get her to really move and doesn't wish to drag or knock her unconscious to carry her. He useless says Stay and quickly goes to a nearby vender while he watches her to see that she is still standing and hasn't moved. With a quick exchange of coin, Corelief comes back to her.

With motions for her to follow him and the word Come, he offers her a meat treat and if that doesn't work well he holds out both of them and does without his meat treat. And this is followed by the motions for her to follow him and the word Come.

Frieda, finding it hard to trust a stranger, takes a step back, looking a little like a cornered animal. I don't like the shit going on in this town, she says. He seemed to think you people don't like the shit going on in this town, either.

Freida's eyes narrow as she takes in a deep breath and lets it out in a long, low sigh. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck. She takes a step forward and looks into the hole. She grits her teeth and mutters, I'm either going to help free slaves of become one. In for a penny, in for a fucking pound. She climbs in, keeping her eyes peeled.
