Corelief stabs at the drow but he sidesteps. As he sidesteps, Darastrix swings his scimitar and hacks halfway through the drow’s neck. As Darastrix pulls the sword back, the drow slumps to the floor, blood spraying both Corelief and Darastrix.

With a result of 0, I don't think it came across as threat...P.s. The die roll label should say Infestation Damage Roll, not Acid Splash.

The drow takes the blast and the insects but seems barely phased. He moves through the vines toward Darastrix and lashes out with his sword.
