Aboard the Embargo

The ocean thrums against the creaking hull as pressed bodies cough and jostle in the dark. It's hard to say how many others are in the hold, chained and caged, but here you all are together, half starved. The attack that brought you into this lightless prison was swift and terrifying as the legendary Captain Chainfist and his undead crew swept in and systematically murdered and captured your people. The worst part of it: the vampires have started to grow desperate and pray to keep their sanity against their growing hunger, wolves caged with sheep.

At this time, your equipment has been taken from you and you are dressed in, at best, a shirt and pants.

Darastrix had given up already on tying to break or pull the chains on her free. The redden marks on her prove that she didn't give up easy. She had cursed every single one of the undead crew with no avail to even get a response. Threats of vile destruction and what not. Whatever she could think of and she has a vile vivid imagination. She has taken her captivity poorly and not without giving verbal abuse whenever possible.

She quickly find that no one wants to be near her in arms reach of her. Perhaps she bites, but she certainly claws. Evil Chainfist as already informed her if uses her known ability of force on anything, she would be sucking the bottom of the sea. From what you have heard, she is Darastrix the red. A known pirate.

Her short flaming red hair is well mattered grim and some blood where she had pounded her head worthlessly against a skeletons skull. Her clothing is working its way to rags. She had given up on trying to keep it in decent condition. She saves her energy to be spiteful. It is obvious the hardships cast upon has not yet broken her.

To be sure she has received less food than others and darn near starvation lately. Also the time she lite up three skeleton with faire fire didn't fare well for her when the figured out it was her doings. She claimed that she want to see what she was going to kill later. The final warning about the sea bottom was put to her as well not eating anything for 3 days. One day for each skeleton that she faire fire'd up.

Hurkor grunted as he once more tried to get free and said "This is not good. Not good at all, I have a brother to find!" He looks down for a moment and continues "And they put a shirt on me? No, you can't contain these pecs in a mere shirt!"

Not yet giving up he pulled at the chains and yelled "You can't keep me here forever! I'll come for you, Chainfist! You hear me? I'll get you!" his dark skin covered in sweat, Hurkor wasn't the type to give up. As he struggled he said to what seemed like an empty room, "Is anyone else even in here?"

Jergen raised his head at the rattling of a nearby slaves chains. With a predatory glance, he checks to see if anyone had made a mistake of moving closer. It would seem that Chainfist had set Jergen a few feet away from the nearest slave. Just out of reach of being grabbed and fed upon.

Seeing that he wasn't to eat yet again, Jergen settles back into his nook. A silent and deadly predator, waiting for that one fateful mistake. As he was about to close his eyes again, Jergen hears someone shouting from a few feet away. "Aye, you're not alone."

Itzel sits calmly. She knows she doesn't have the strength to break the chains, so she does not wear her skin Rae in the attempt. She prays for strength and tries her best to calm any other followers of Tilonalli or any of the Threefold Sun.

Stay strong, we have to be ready if an opportunity comes up.

Itzel looks around to see if there is anything that can be used to open a lock or break a chain

Lyra kneels calmly against the wall, her head down. Those that could see her would swear she was sleeping, but the deep meditation she was in kept her from feeling the deep hunger that plagued her. Her entire body seemed to be coiled, ready to spring into action at any moment.
The stirring of the other prisoners caused her eyes to snap open. It was hard to meditate with so much chatter. "Really?" She called out to Itzel, sarcasm dripping from her voice. "I had planned to let the first few opportunities pass me by. I'm taking this opportunity to catch up on my beauty rest."

Te'e'no takes heart when he hears the prayers of the sun. He mumbles along under his breath for a moment before pulling at the chain holding him. "So," he says to his companion sitting next to him. "What are you in for?"

Tenoch sits with his legs crossed and arms resting on his thighs, his eyes closed and head slightly bowed. He breathes in rhythm to the rising and falling of the seas. The young Ixalan meditates, entering deep within the temple of the mind to escape his grim reality.

His neighbor’s question brings him back to the here and now. He smiles at the joke and replies "I am guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time."

Darastrix is very still in the darkness. Must be a more active day. she thinks. Not knowing where it is day or not. She says in a rather horse voice, The filthy swabs will break you.

And she adds with possibly a laugh of chuckle, but it hard to tell if it was much than an over breathing hard exhaling. She says with vile in her voice, Then you get to be crew.

There is no freedom greater than the skies, and so a caged siren suffers cruelly. Aglaophonos shivers in her chains, the darkness, the dank air, everything about her present circumstance draining her will to live. She sustains herself with a near-constant torrent of venomous verbal abuse directed towards Chainfist:

"You sour-faced malignancy! You craven pignut! You whoreson hell-hated puttock! May every siren of Ixalan conspire to send you to the depths! And may the darkest creatures of the deepest abyss subject you to eternal damnation!"

Not for the first time Mishana wondered what smelled worse, the walking dead or the unwashed softskins. Sharing this hold with them had been unbearable. Safety was but a bulkhead away, but chains held her, for now. She thought she might be able to break them, but she could not fight her way past her captors. Not yet. And they never rested. The undead were wicked things. Unnatural and foul. But she bided her time. At some point they would make a mistake and she would be gone.

With the rattling of chains she shifted her position. The cramped hold was too small for her towering form. Her fins were chafing against the chains. She yearned for the embrace of the ocean to wash her clean. Soon.... very soon...

A man gives a rough croak and a quick double stomp, jostling the chains about his ankles. "Aye, today is the day of freedom. We're close ta the Isle, and better make quick work of our bondage to escape the Chainfist." The man tries to clear his parched throat, but turns to a coughing fit. After a moment he starts again, "I reckon there's enough of ya ta push through this creak'n excuse for a crew and make fer the long boats. I've got a key in me boot, if ya can reach it we'll all be free. And you can leave the Chainfist ta me lads and lasses, I owe him a dance and me card 'as been empty o' late." He jingles a foot.

She could only hope that those nearby the man would see fit to release her as well.

Darastrix is blind in the darkness, but hears fine.

She says to the darkness, Release me and I will gladly let &%$# Chainfist suffer.

Seeing that this might be her chance to escape or for more suffering from Chainfist, she holds up her manacled hands and tries to use her force to break away the chains and without blasting herself. She thinks to herself I hope Chainfist can't sense this.
