"We've given our position! Any surprise is spoiled. Let's get rid of this guard fast and get ready for the next wave inside the room! Feylinde shouts as another blast of energy is cast from hers fingers.

OOC: Round 3 action (eldritch blast). No movement.

Added perception and Insight rolls.

Initially intending to cause as little harm to the guard as possible, the near miss of an attack changes Szent's attitude. With a scream he rushes, shield first, attempting to shove the foolish man to the side.

The following private posts are based only on your perception and insight rolls. If you didn't get a message you didn't roll high enough.

Initiative order... Elf, Weylan, Alanya, Feylinde, Szent, Rufio, Guards, Seneia, Elden
Marching order: elf, Weylan, Feylinde, Seneia, Szent, Rufio, Alanya, Elden.

Round 3

You imagine the elf is at least 90' from the action by now, even not knowing where he's heading. That pesky elf.

Weylan swings his pretty axe at the guard's back, and pretty well misses.

Alanya cannot get to the action, but hears clearly everything the guard shouts.

Feylinde is very pleased with the effect of her Eldritch blast and tries it again. It seems she hasn't perfected it yet, because is readily misses the guard.

Szent hears the instructions from his friends to shove the guard to let them into the room. He makes solid contact with his shield and the guard unwillingly shifts to the side, looking somewhat startled and wide eyes. He fully understands the meaning of this move, and exhales, "Shit!"
OOC:
The guard is adjacent to the door but 5' to the side. This now allows access to the room. In 5e there are no opportunity attacks unless you leave the guard's threat range (unlike Pathfinder). At this time Weylan is the only character in guards threat range, even though Szent is in the corridor square of the doorway (Szent has three quarters cover).
Rufio may now make a move...
Feb 6, 2016 2:58 am
Rufio charges past Szent and throws a wild haymaker as he circles around the hapless guard.
OOC:
-Bonus action to enter Rage.
-Moving around the guard to give others room, but staying in guard's reach to avoid OA's.
-Reckless Attack: attack at advantage, but attacks against Rufio are also at advantage until his next turn.
-Everyone now has advantage on melee attack rolls vs. the guard thanks to Rufio's Primal Path feature.

Rolls

Haymaker (advantage from Reckless Attack) - (1d20+5, 1d20+5)

1d20+5 : (10) + 5 = 15

1d20+5 : (15) + 5 = 20

damage - (1d4+5)

(1) + 5 = 6

Round 3 cont.

Rufio is enthused by finally finding some action, and the rage is more of a blessing than a curse. He soundly connects with the guard (guard 22 total damage).

Finally the guard retaliates, and lashes out at Rufio seeing him defenseless in his rage. (Rufio takes 14 damage).

Seneia please advise action.

Rolls

Guard - attack, damage, advantage - (1d20+5, 1d20+5, 1d8+3)

1d20+5 : (20) + 5 = 25

1d20+5 : (9) + 5 = 14

1d8+3 : (6) + 3 = 9

Crit damage - (1d8)

(5) = 5

Feb 6, 2016 8:34 am
Seneia slips past the fight with the guard. Her expression is puzzled, worried, as she creeps towards the corridor the elf disappeared to.

Rolls

Sneak - (1d20+4)

(4) + 4 = 8

Feb 9, 2016 4:52 am
At the earliest opportunity, I yell over the fray towards the guard "Give it up! You suck! Weylan, come on you can do it!"

Casting "Vicious Mockery". As a bonus action, I inspire Weyland. Also- was I supposed to get a message in an earlier post for my 20 Perception? I didn't get anything and just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.
OOC:
from DM - no, your perception was good but it was both rolls in tandem that earned the note. Also round 4 hasn't started yet.

Round 3 cont

Seneia tries to sneak past the guard but realises she has to pass too close to him. Besides, she's sure he can see her. Instead of engaging in combat she moves forward to look for a way past.

Elden casts his flame that was so successful last time... But is unsuccessful this time.
OOC:
Now it's time for Round 4...

Rolls

Dex save - guard - (1d20+2)

(11) + 2 = 13

Feb 9, 2016 12:10 pm
Round 4

Feylinde continues attaccking the guard with her Eldritch blast.

Rolls

Eldritch blast (attack rool & force damage) - (1d20+5, 1d10+3)

1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22

1d10+3 : (2) + 3 = 5

Feb 12, 2016 1:10 am
Anyone posting round 4?
Feb 12, 2016 1:39 am
OOC:
I figured my previous post could be applied to round 4...
DM: no problem
Feb 12, 2016 2:38 am
With the guard directly in front of him Szent will take a one-handed overhand swing with his hammer.

Rolls

Hammer Time! - (1d20+5, 1d8+3)

1d20+5 : (3) + 5 = 8

1d8+3 : (8) + 3 = 11

Feb 12, 2016 5:58 am
OOC: I'd prefer waiting until some of the action have been resolved before declaring my actions for the turn. Whether the guard is alive or not by the time Seneia's initiative comes around has rather big effects on what she's able to do.
OOC:
DM: no problem
Feb 12, 2016 10:12 am
Rufio tries to nail the guard with a vicious head-butt.
OOC:
I see most of you are attacking the guard with spells but just a reminder for Szent and anyone else who wants to go melee: you have advantage on melee attacks vs. any opponent Rufio is engaged with as long as Rufio is raging.

Rolls

Head butt - (1d20+5)

(9) + 5 = 14

damage - (1d4+5)

(4) + 5 = 9

Bonus grapple check (if the head butt hits) - (1d20+5, 1d20+5)

1d20+5 : (17) + 5 = 22

1d20+5 : (11) + 5 = 16
