Suppose an Introduction is in Order

Yo, I am new to the site, Just started up a 3.5 on this site with some amazing friendly people who made amazing characters. (Looking forward to playing with you)
I recently turned 30, so I guess I should start considering myself an adult now. (Yeah I know, I don't really)
Getting over a pretty hardcore depression (Finally) but Roleplaying has always been very close to my heart and something I have been doing althroughout my life. I used to do it both PBP and IRL, as a player, but mostly as a Dungeon Master.
I am familiar with a few other systems but none as much as 3.5 (Actually 3.0, but by extension also 3.5)
I have 3 cats so I guess I also qualify as a Crazy Catlady in training, got my starting kit and everything.
I also consider myself something of an Amatour writer, but then again so does most DMs. Would love to write a book at some point if my faltering attention span can actually manage it.
So yeah.. That's me in very short terms.

Welcome NotYou, looking forward to it game together. As an amateur published author, I look forward to talking with you sometime about writing - it is easy and yet difficult at the same time.

Indeed... It's like singing. Everyone can sing but you need a certain rythm to make it sound good.

The major realization I've had is that you just have to accept that whatever you write is going to be crap. Utter garbage. It is the editing and revising part that turns your nugget into a polished gem. For this reasons, many writers write their first draft as a way of telling themselves the story, then they begin rewriting the whole thing from scratch, with the foreknowledge of what to aim for.
