I don't think 5e has flanking bonuses, unless the DM is homebrewing one. Moving into and then out of an opponent's reach would provoke an OoO.

The DMG has an optional flanking rule, but it is up to the DM to implement.

If Ian wants to provide someone with advantage on the attack, he can get into melee range with the Imperius and take the Help action.

Ahhh, okay. But can Ian give the Aid Another action to someone who already went this round? He was going to give it to Greta to try and wrassle the lady down but if she doesn't go to next round can that even work?

The Help action applies to the person you're assisting, whether it's their next ability check or if they attack the target. For attack rolls, they have to attack the target before the start of your next turn.

When Greta is Raging (spoiler: she will be) she has advantage on STR checks like grappling, so Ian's help would not giver her extra advantage.

Also she has reckless attack which provides advantage to her melee attacks (at expense of attacks directed against her being advantaged as well)

In short, Greta gets advantage a lot and help action might be better used on another character.

Johan's departure brings up a good question about posting rates and our daily schedules. Personally I work a 9-5 type of office job that lets me get away with quick updates inbetween my projects, but after work I have responsibilities at home and as a baseball/softball coach, which means my evenings and weekends will see less frequency.

What's everyone else's schedule like?

I'm a med student going through rotations at a hospital so it really varies. Like CancerMan I think I'm able to post quickly inbetween cases and such but it'll get less frequent in the evening/weekends because that's some of the only time I have with my wife. Yesterday worked out really well for me because I was on-call and able to post a lot during the intense parts of the story because there was a lot of down time xD

All-in-all, I can post more than that one-per-day requirement but days like yesterday will be the exception

I'm a career creative, so my actual scheduling is dotted with checking the website for updates - why I can post so frequently. But, I can mold to other schedules too.

I'll say no on the damage. Flank bonuses only grant advantage on hit rolls

I have time throughout the day for checking and posts as well. Weekends and evenings with less frequency but on whole I'm available to post > 1xday

What do you all think about an OOC discord chat? CancerMan floated the idea to me over it and I think it could be better than just OOC on the forum

I'm off T/W/Th so my posting slows down a little since I'm at a call center the rest of the time from 10am to 9pm and can basically post any time there.

I'm not especially keen on it, because I do like having everything in one place. But if you guys start one my FOMO will kick in and I'll do it, reluctantly!
